thanks Janet. i try....there are always good days and bad. i've learned that if i focus on the positive, the bad days aren't so bad.

its been difficult to exercise, meds cause weight gain, but i am glad i found this team...people who i can relate to, folks who share the same goals.

Hi Eileen~you sound so positive even with all that has happened to you. May you continue to inspire all those you meet and especially your precious children~

my name is eileen. i am a 52 year old 3 time stroke survivor. my last bleed was when i was 27, the first when i was 14.
cat scan revealed a AVM, so they thought at the time. but no one could explain why it was only partially leaking and why i had not had a full blown rupture. location was too "eloquent" as they said, so its not repairable. i attribute this miracle as a gift from the hand of God.
with baby #2, now in a high risk group, i had a focal seizure and that put me in a hospital that was 1 hour from home, but fortunately my obgyn had great referrals to some of the best neurologists in the area.
long story short over the years now i have had a total of three leaks, the mri reveals that there is no artery involvement, and it was reclassified as a canernous anginoma. it is now over 3 cm in width, has grown over the years and is still incorrectable.
the use of my left hand is completely gone, left foot drop, i have gait issues, balance issues, focal seizures, lower left quadrant vision loss, etc, etc.

but i prefer to focus on the other things i can do...i can enjoy life to its fullest! emoticon
