Hello,
I am Trix. I had a baby in july 2018, then was breastfeeding, so I have been on diet hiatus for the past couple of years. I was diagnose with MS in october, which was not a big suprise, considering i haven't been able to see properly with my left eye for 4 years now.

I read somewhere that cutting animal products(exept fish) helps lowering the number of episodes, so i am slowly trying to go vegan, at least part time. I don't know if its really good for managing MS, but its good for the planet and the fiber intake, so it's at least that. I am hoping it will also help me lose some weight, cause the less heavy you are the less energy you take to move yourself... and energy is not always in ample supply. I blame the baby for that!
Ok, I admit it! I also want to lose weight to look sexy in a bikini. And maybe start running again... or hiking with my daughter...

Hello all. I'm Carol aka JustFurKids. I live on 45 acres in rural TN with husband and 6 german shepherds I affectionately call "The Kitchen Wolves"....all rescues and beloved house dogs. Tho I am no longer involved in day to operations of the shepherd rescue I co-founded in 2008, my life is dogs, gardening, dogs and more dogs.

I was diagnosed with MS in winter 2000. Other than the IV steroids the docs originally insisted on, I have refused all medications and am doing really well simply by avoiding stress and maintaining healthy diet and exercise habits. Since starting a low carb Keto diet in Jan 2018 I feel better than I have in many many years....loads of energy, no brain fog and have lost 70 lbs. Definitely worth giving up sugar and wheat flour!

Looking forward to getting to know all y'all.

Hello! I am 34 and have had MS since 2004. I decided I needed to work on myself and get healthier. I was hoping that if I joined Sparkpeople.com it would help motivate me and keep me on track! Exercising is hard because of my MS and sleeping so much but still having no energy is a constant problem. I try to jump right in and have gotten overwhelmed in the past so I decided I am going to take it one day at a time and celebrate the little victories. :)

Welcome, Crystal! I've had MS for 16 years. I'm glad to hear that you're doing better. And also that you are able to exercise. My MS specialist says that exercise helps to delay progression.

I'm on Copaxone 40. What med are you on?

Hi, folks!

I am "retired" also. I was diagnosed with MS in 2005 after a bad bout of optic neuritis.

I live in a small town of about 1500 people, not far from what was part of the Erie Canal. Part of my town is a National Historic District with all kinds of fabulous old houses. I moved to New York State in 2010 and have grown to love it here.

I have a lot of interests including:

Cats, music, books, the Depression era, spirituality, FLYlady, snail mail, antiques, country music, planners and baking.

Aglesyaya -- Welcome! I thought I responded to you somewhere else, but I can't find it, so maybe I didn't. I also went on SSDI at the age of 46. It was in 2008. And I also have 2 grandchildren. 20 month old grandson, and 2 month old grandson.

Slosam -- Welcome to you too! Yes; we do have unique challenges. I'm glad you are still able to find the energy to pursue education.

WeaverOFlight -- So sorry about your tremors. It seems that symptoms keeping happening. Glad to see you posting.

RissaBryant -- Sorry, too, for your symptoms. The MS meds won't help them. They are designed to delay progression and reduce the frequency and severity of flares. Your doc might have different suggestions for meds to help with symptoms.
My symptoms, initially, looked like I had had a stroke and I was also hospitalized at that time. I hope you find some relief.

I would and would not say that I am new to MS. I am looking at being diagnosed with MS but it looks like I have been having symptoms since 2010. Due to the fact that I was in the Army at the time and have been under the care of the Veterans Affairs since getting out of the Army, my diagnosis has been out off due to either incompetence or not wanting to pay for my care and disability, either way, here I am now.

I am looking for any and all tips to help me along this journey. I am already experiencing severe blurry vision, severe tingling and pain in left arm and left leg, severe pain, neurological issues to the point where I am failing college drastically, and have had symptoms so severe that I was hospitalized for 3 days because it was suspected that I had a stroke.

I have been on some MS medications since 2010 with no help with symptoms so I have no idea where to go from here and I hope that the doctor I will be seeing soon will be able to help me because the pain and suffering is unbelievable.

I look forward to getting to know everyone and I hope to talk to you guys soon! Thanks in advance for any and all information that could help.

Rissa

Hello,

I'm new to SP. I was Dx'd officially in 2011 but we traced it back to 1997 when I had optic neuritis. Very excited that I have a team that understands the challenges that are unique to our disease.

I am a PhD student at the University of South Florida, divorced, and a proud mama of a wonderful 12 yo boy. I am originally from Toledo OH.

I went on disability in 2013 at 46!!! How wild is thatl?l
I've got one grand son that is 4 and my grand daughter just turned 1 yesterday.
I didn't mean to sound negative I was just wondering who all was out there and who wanted to be active in the page. Medically retired was a term I heard on a FB Page. It fits! I'm not old enough to be retired & most days "You look great, you can't be sick!". It saves a lot of wasted explanations . I was diagnosed in 1999.

Welcome!

I've had MS since 2002. Medically retired, hmmm. That's an interesting term. I guess I am too. I went on disability in 2008, at the age of 46.

I am also a grandma. My grandson is 16 months old and he is expecting a brother in November.

And, you're right. We "get it" and understand in a way that others just really can't.

Hi my name is Jen and I was diagnosed in 1988. I have just progressed to a wheelchair but am still trying to walk in the house with the aid of a walker. I decided I needed to lose weight as I have just shifted to country Victoria (Australia) and have put on at least 20kgs. I need support to do this.
Thank you.

Hello team.
I am not diagnosed as yet with anything.
Age 68. MS has been considered about 5 times since I was in my mid-20's. Vision problems, including double vision & blurred vision have been a common problem over the years. Painful pins & needle sensation lasting for months when I was 24. Muscle spasms & cramps in legs, arms, neck and back. For past 5 years, problems with balance and vertigo, falls - this diagnosed as migraine without headache. In past two years, I started having headache around one eye.
My local neurologist (who treats a lot of people with MS) has never considered MS. He sent me to a migraine specialist at Cleveland Clinic earlier this year. A lot of delays in testing because Medicare did not want to approve any tests.

The new doctor has told me that she has found "midbrain atrophy." She wanted to review with other doctors, but I have not heard back yet. I found on National Institutes of Health website that 2 most common diagnosis related to this are PARKINSONS and MS. With my total history, I believe MS is most likely.

I don't understand why this has been so difficult to diagnose. I have been quite disabled by the "migraine " symptoms for 5 years. New doctor suspects I have been mis diagnosed.

Thanks for this forum.

Welcome Rosie!

Sorry about the late Welcome; I haven't been on the board for a while.

I work out with a woman who has Primary Progressive MS. She is in her 60's and still is independent and active. She does MS Aquatics 3x a week and even skis. She has have special skis that allows her to sit but she still skis! I am always amazed at how active she is after living with Primary Progressive for 25 years.

She is going to start a new drug for Primary Progressive MS. I will find out the name for you. It is one of the first meds to Primary Progressive

I am not able to type or see well, but I wanted to say "Hello".
Have had MS for 26 years and not doing well the last 3 years.
Barely able to get around and am in bed for most of my time.
I want to get up and at-tam. Not on computer much but with you maybe I will be more active.

Hi Laura and welcome!
Journaling every day kept me focased and I added in exercise when I could. I use the diabetes plan and that is less carbs...
Since you have done SP before, you know it's the best out there...

Welcome Laura.

I lost 60 lbs on SP 4-5 years ago. I went from a size 22 to a size 6. I found tracking calories and posting weights regularly to be helpful. I gained about 15 if those back and have list 5 of them.

I know we're in a different biat now, but I feel like I can relate some, since I list a lot if weight in the past, and it took me a year, so I remember what it's like to have a long term goal.

Good Morning,

I am Laura, I am a 31 year old wife and mother working full time and going to school part time. I started having symptoms in 2009 and was officially diagnosed on 2/7/11 and have been on Copaxone ever since, with the exception of when I was pregnant with my son, who I gave birth to in July and really need to get healthy so that I can be there for him and the rest of my family. I was already overweight before getting pregnant and actually lost some weight during pregnancy, but Connor was born early and I lost sight of my weight while attempting to deal with his NICU stay and special needs as a premie and also while dealing with my own health issues. I used SP several years back to lose about 30 pounds and am hoping it will help again. Realistically, I could stand to lose 100 lbs and am hoping to find motivation and maybe a few buddies on here while I am here.

Have a great day!
Laura

Welcome to our team! A super positive attitude! It's the best way to take on the process...

I had a flair...lasted about 2 months. They didn't find anything on the MRI's so I guess they will say it's a "pseudo" flair...but he did say he felt that it was increasing just a bit as he could hear it in my voice...it doesn't matter....I have my grandkids and that counts the most...

Hi Jennifer! Welcome. Sorry about the the PPMS. Yes; motivation is a trick. What worked for me was choosing a strategy and setting specific measurable goals and following through with them. If it helps to post, in one of our forums, daily or weekly or something, to help keep you accountable, sometimes that can be motivating.

Hi Jennifer! I like your positive outlook!

My name is Kelly. I was DX in 2005 but just started Copaxone 12-14. I gained 17 lbs last year between the Copaxone and the tripling of my dose of Gabapentin. Well, and I really couldn't do much physical activity during the relapse. I am out of the relapse but it left me with Gait Ataxia.
I am in Aquatic PT trying to see if I can get some of my balance back. I can walk short distances aka not more than a football field. I have a walker and am investigating a Travel Scooter for days I need to walk a lot.

Welcome to the Team!

Kelly

Hi! My name is Jennifer. Was diagnosed with PPMS 2 years ago. It seems I have been symptomatic for a very long time, I just did not know what was going on.

I have the proverbial foot drop, muscle spasms, and fatigue. I can still walk but it really isn't pretty, I have to use a cane but on really bad days I have my motorized wheelchair. emoticon

I would really love to lose some weight. I started Copaxone last April and quickly gained 20 pounds. I would really like to lose about 60 though. I need to find a way to stay motivated towards that goal. PPMS is not going to beat me.

My name is Cheryl. I was diagnosed 8 years ago, but have been symptomatic for over 30 years. I am partially ambulatory and fighting to keep what I have. My biggest challenge, with my health, is my autonomic neuropathy. Both my heart and lungs are affected by it.

I am enjoying the seated exercises I have found on Sparkpeople. It feels good to b physically challenging my body rather than struggling to move like I used to.

Welcome, Jenn!

MS, although it may tend to shorten our lives by about 5-7 years (t depends what source you read), is not considered to be fatal.

www.nationalmssociety.org/About-the-
So
ciety/Press-Room/MS-the-Disease#sectR>ion-5

There are hazards, particularly in the more advanced stages, that contribute to that, and there are likely exceptions and, occasionally, people with MS who die at an earlier age, but the average life expectancy is not all that different from that of the general population.

Hi Amy! So glad to have you with the team ... There is so much to learn about each other and the team is great!
I do have a a couple of questions for you...if it's OK...did your doctor offer you Copaxone? And did your doctor suggest you get tested for the JV virus? I'm just curious about how different doctors prescribe being an RN and if doctors are being proactive about testing for JV virus titers... Thanks in advance...and again welcome to the team!

Hi, I'm Amy. I was diagnosed in 2002 and have taken Avonex, Rebif, Tysabri, and now Gilenya. Biggest issue for me is the weakess and spasticity in my left leg, which means I use a rollator or cane most of the time.

Oh my goodness! I feel like I have been very remiss in not welcoming all the newbies...but I do welcome you all and I know you will learn much from the team and much from each other...
The symptoms of MS are different for everyone and just as the come up ugly and hurtful, they can disappear or you can have PPMS and just go down slowly...

There is PBA...Pseudo Bulbar Affect...where you can cry or laugh inappropriately or the Fatigue...even if you sleep you are still tired....I have word searching which is much like aphasia that some stroke people have... Some people get optic neuritis...so much information to absorb...
i joined Spark People to loose weight...and I did...and then I got Diabetes II and gained the weight back and it is oh so hard to loose it again, but I keep on coming back to Spark People for the support...and I know we are there for each other without reservation or criticism.
I am a neuroscience nurse plus other areas...if anyone needs any questions answered or help with research please feel free to write to me...I know we have other nurses in the group so pipe up...we would love to hear from you...
Take care and join our discussions...

Hi Becky and welcome. I'm fairly new here, too.

I'm 56 and have had MS for 20+ years. I've done Avonex & Copaxone and both had a negative affect on me, unfortunately. I have gone from RRMS to secondary progressive.

Welcome, again!

Hello everyone. I've had MS a little over half my life. I was diagnosed at 28, and became disabled at 32. I'm 57 now, and only use my cane for balance (because I have no sense of balance, but if I just touch something solid with the tip of a finger, my balance comes back in a split second. I just need somewhere that other people understand the frustrations, challenges, and where I can celebrate my little victories. :-)

I have learned a lot since being diagnosed. Get onto one of the ABC drugs (or something like them) as soon as you can. It makes a big difference. You stop going downhill and pretty much stay where you are, instead of getting worse and worse. Find someone you can talk to. Yes, it's not fair, but you CAN take control of some of it, so jump in with both feet and take back that control.

Thanks for welcoming me.

Wow. How to maintain weight loss while on steroids. I always gain seven pounds, no matter what.

Here are some things, though, that might help:
1. Plan your meals so that you don't binge. Steroids can increase your appetite, so it might mean going hungry. Consider documenting calories, so that you keep on top of how much you are eating.
2. Eat frequently. Plan smaller meals, but 2 or 3 snacks per day. Eat once every two to three hours. It can keep that hunger at bay.
3. Eat healthy. Avoid sugar as much as possible. Steroids increase blood sugar levels, and sugar is empty calories that will pack on the pounds. Cut back on carbs, and, if possible, avoid starchy carbs and "whites".
In other words, choose either whole grains, or, for awhile, just get your carbs from fruits (in moderation because of the natural sugars) and lots and lots of vegetables, especially green (not potatoes or corn). Choose low calorie, low sodium, low refined carbohydrates and low sugar foods.

HLDAVEY,

Hi and welcome. The waiting is so stressful.

Everyone with MS is different. I really have no advise. I've never done the high dose steroids. But, I've done Avonex and Copaxone, unsuccessfully. Weight gain & steroids seem to go hand-in-hand. Avoid salt like the plague.

Have you joined any MS groups for newly diagnosed people? All the hospitals around here have groups. It's nice to actually see and meet others. However, online groups can be good, too, you just can't hug folks.

I'm pretty old school. MS is just something I've had a LONG time. Hang in there. Try to stay low-key and not get worked up.

Hi, I'm Heather. I am currently working on getting a definitive diagnosis of MS. I am waiting for more test results and an MRI of my neck and spine before my neurologist will make the diagnosis official. While we are waiting for the results, I am going to undergo steroid treatments over the next 3 days to knock out the symptoms I have had for over 5 weeks with no relief. I have had a few episodes with numbness or other neurological symptoms over the last 2 years, but this flare up has really knocked me on my butt. I am also looking over all of my medication options and teetering between Copaxone and Tecfidera. I like that Copaxone has been around for a long time and proven useful with limited serious side effects, but I don't like the idea of giving myself injections 3 times a week. With Tecfidera, the side effects are a little scary and it hasn't been around as long, but it has proven effective for many people and it is a pill instead of an injection. I am waiting to find out from my doctor which he thinks would be best for me. In the meantime, I am looking forward to putting an end to the symptoms and getting back to some semblance of normal. Does anyone have any advice for someone newly diagnosed on how to maintain weight loss goals while on steroids, or any other advice on coping with a new diagnosis?

Hi, I've become very stiff over the years and need motivation to exercise, again. I've had MS for 20+ years. About 4 years ago I got a powerchair. Pros- nice & comfy. Makes going places a breeze. Cons - I'm stiffer than ever and have lost muscle strength.
My husband is very supportive, but doesn't exercise (because he does physical work all day).
I've found some good videos on SP, but need encouragement to keep exercising daily.

Welcome, Claire.

And, I'm glad to hear things are going better than they have been. Hopefully, SP can help you to lose the weight again.

If you've done it before, it sounds like you know what to do.

Best wishes!

Hi! I'm Claire. I am newly diagnosed with MS. Although I've gone through several years of testing, I consider my official diagnosis to have been in August 2014. I started medication in October 2014. I actually am feeling better than I have in probably close to 2 years. I am also heavier than I have been ever - other than being pregnant. I've used Spark People to help me lose 15 lbs 2 years ago. I'd like to get back to the weight I was when I started feeling poorly.

I'm excited to restart this process, and hope to see some results! I am also hoping the support from a team will make it a bit easier to manage.

Hi! I was diagnose in 2007 with MS. I have been fortunate to only have had one major event when I was first diagnosed. I am, however, extremely tired all the time. I am hoping to become more active to help with this but I find myself very sore and worn out for a couple days after doing anything strenuous. I'm hoping to get healthier this year!!

Welcome Tracy!
I have a lot of swelling in my legs and feet today. They feel extra heavy. I looked up the side effects of the fluticisone nasal spray rx I have been using for the allergies/cold and the Afrin and lo and behold because the RX one is a steroid in rare cases it can cause swelling of the feet and ankles! I am just not one of those people who can tolerate medication. I am alergic or at least have intolerable side effects to 90% of the medications that have ever been prescribed to me! On a happier note my ew treadmill arrived and I just walked 5 minutes very slowly. My plan is to do that for 5 minutes every hour throughout the day to work my legs. I got one that has the long safety bars and an auto shut off if you fall plus I will only use it when someone is home to help me on and off. I have to hang on with both hands so my son runs the on/off button and the speed for me. Blessings to all. Have a great day!

Hi Everyone: My name is Tracey and I was diagnosed with MS in 1998 at 14. Currently I am taking Gilenya and doing well. New to the group but joined SP in 2013. In 2012, lost 35 pounds with exercise and healthier eating habits. My main goal is to maintain the weight loss. I have done that so far and just want to keep that streak up!!

Hi, my name is Jeanne and I'm 47. I was diagnosed a couple of years ago and put on rebif. I hated it Worse 1.5 yrs of my life. I was tired and achy all the time. No energy to do anything. I stopped taking it last spring and except for ms symptoms (which are manageable right now) I am back to my old self, well nearly. I do tire faster than normal and I have limited strength. But I am trying to lose the weight I put on over the years just if for no other reason then to make it easier on myself if my ms gets worse.

Hi,
I am Shoshie.
I Just joined SP. I have Multiple Sclerosis. I have had it since my early 20's and am now 44.
I have been on Tysabri for the last five and a half years, and Rebif before that.
I currently weigh 152 kilos, I think that is about 335 pounds, and I want to lose weight.
So here I am.
I have lost nine kilos in the last seven weeks, so I am trying very hard.

MAMABUGAZ and EMSSBEARS,

Thank you for the greetings and kind words.

Yes, I have learned a lot about nutrition from WW, but I get bored easily with it even though I go to meetings every week. I've lost and kept off 10 pounds over the past 16 months, but that's super slow. Of course, there have been the times when I just wasn't up to dealing with it, but I do congratulate myself for the 10 pound loss.

So, here's to Spark People and success!

Robin

I hope, too, Robin, that SparkPeople can be a place where you can lose weight. With MS, we have additional challenges. But. It can be done. (I lost 60 lbs.)

If you've been doing weight watchers for awhile, you've probably learned a lot about nutrition, etc. Figure out what you're willing to do, and what you hate doing. Then, create your own program that fits you.

Hi, I'm Robin.

I just created an account last night. I've been doing Weight Watchers for over a year and I'm not having much luck, and feel like I'm throwing money away.

I thought I would try SparkPeople when I realized there was a group for MSers.

I was diagnosed in February 2003, but my first major exacerbation was in the early part of 1988. Luckily, at the time of diagnosis I had just been laid off from work, so I didn't have to go right back to work. And my husband didn't want me to work full-time anymore.

I have a lot of trouble with fatigue. I'm still ambulatory. I walk with a cane when I'm tired or know that I'm having an off balance day. I have some memory issues. And, of course, the normal tingling, pins and needles, etc.

I'm hoping this is the place that I will finally be able to get this extra weight off. emoticon

Crystal- Welcome to the team - I know what you mean about the fatigue - and naps do help. I have found that I do have more energy now that I have lost some weight. I have lost 129 now and I find that exercising has become a habit for me, but I have to do it in small amounts and in moderation. I chose the recumbent stationary bike and I do it while watching tv or while posting on sparks on the ipad or my phone (a distraction) so I am not aware of what I am doing - that way I will do more and not quit because I think I can't do it. I soon found out that I was just avoiding exercise because I thought I couldn't do it not because I couldn't. I gained energy and boosted the weight loss efforts.

If there is anything I can do to encourage or support you in your journey here let me know. Again welcome to the team we are glad that you have joined us.

Welcome, Crystal.

I haven't found any cure for my fatigue, other than naps. I'm grateful that I am receiving disability, and am finished raising my kids, So, I plan my volunteer activities to fit a schedule that works for me.

Maybe someone else can give you some fatigue suggestions.

Hello MS Spark people, My name is Crystal and I have been Fat since I was about 12 with a few diets and eating disorders in between then and now. However now that I am 30+ I am just fat now. :) In 2009 I was hit with the MS bus, and been going off and on since then. I have two very active children, ages 10 and 2 both boys, so I be hopping all the time, add in there a 4 yr (95 lbs) American bulldog and a 4mo (30lb) yellow lab retriever. With a hubby, who I love always and like most days. :) I find my biggest challenge to be a mixture between fatigue and motivation. I have found that I get tired in the afternoons and it just so happens that I don't have time to take my desired naps because of conflicts of schedules. Or because I have a 2yr old who doesn't understand why mom is having issues dragging her butt off the sofa. I used to medicate with monsters and redbulls, but since I got sick 2 weeks ago I haven't had one since and I have already gone threw my caffeine withdrawal headaches, so I really don't want to start them again. Life is good. I just need to lose about 100 lbs and I know that I will feel even better about myself and I'm sure my energy level would naturally get better. Anyway, So hello and I look forward to being someone's shoulder of support and to find someone who knows what I am going through. My hubby try's to understand but like he has told me in the past, he doesn't know if its the MS or if I'm having a lazy day. So I look forward to someone who understands what I am going through and can tell me to get up and off my butt (in a supportive way) when needed.

Thanks ~ Crystal

Thanks, very true that. I was taking a break at work today and I keep a mirror at my desk so I can see people come in the office behind me and I caught a glimpse of my arm as I was doing curls. And I kept thinking how good it looked. There are few mirrors at home but I think that gonna have to change.

You hit the nail on the head. Yes; with MS we have additional challenges. And, sometimes that makes gettng off our b*tt and not being lazy even more difficult. But, motivation is the key.

I wish I could bottle it up and give it away (and, lol, also have a bottle around for myself, cuz I need it too!).

I don't know how to fight laziness and find motivation. But, sometimes, if you can get started, success can be the biggest motivator to keep on going.

My motivators, when I began to lose weight, were two major upcoming events.
1. I had a 30-year reunion from a small 2-year college coming up. I lived far away, and had only kept in touch with a handful of alumni, but, wanted a reunion to happen badly enough that I planned and organized it. I began working on trying to find people a year ahead of time, and I knew that I didn't want to attend the reunon, weighing 185 lbs, whe, the last time some of them saw ne 30 year ago, I weighed about 1/2 that (95 lbs). So, I began dukugebtky tracking calories, changing the way I ate, and educating myself,
2. Several months after I began the process ((osing 4-6 lbs oer month), my daughter got engaged. I also knew that I wanted photos at tge weddubg to be i a cute mother-of-the-bride dress, not a size 22 tent-dress.
So, I kept on going.

Find your motivator. Health, more energy, appearance, whatever. Start with baby steps, if you have to. Then, let your success motivate you to continue, a little bit at a time.

Well, this is my second REAL attempt to lose the weight for good, took me a while to get used to the MS, I guess I still am 14 years later. I used to do Aerobics 3X's a week and lift weights 2X's and ate what I wanted, this past 4 years especially have seemed to be hard on me. I gained 60lbs when I was out of work, 6 years ago I left my home in Missouri, it has gone downhill since. I used to walk my dog everyday like three or four times, usually a half mile or so. Now I'm lucky to get down the steps with her, it isn't just lack of Mobility either, it is just shear laziness, so I need to change my mind set!

Welcome TM.

I read your Spark Page, and, my MS symptoms did improve following weight loss. My balance is better; I discovered a gluten intolerance, so I modified my diet, etc.

Best wishes in your weight loss, and in managing your MS.

keep coming back!

Hi there. I'm back at Spark after a few years hiatus. I have too much weight to lose. Sigh. Bt I'm pretty determined to do it this time and am doing well.

I was diagnosed with RRMS 13 years ago (well, my Rx anniversary is in two days). I'm getting a little frustrated with MS these days as I had a relapse from Sept to Dec of 2013, January was good, but now I'm relapsing once again. Aargh. Luckily, it's a mild attack - sensory issues. I've gone from not being able to walk in 2001 to losing some vision to not being able to feel my left hand. I consider myself lucky though. I always remind myself of that when I'm having a bad MS day.

I look forward to cheering folks on in this group. Together we can do it!
