Welcome Q. I hope that Tysabri works really well for you.

Betaseron made me absolutely miserable but Copaxone has helped to improve my situation immensely. It's the thing that has kept me walking, for which I will always be thankful. I always find it really interesting how one therapy can be a godsend for one person (like Copaxone has been for me) but can be such a problem for someone else (like it apparently was for you). It would be so much easier for everyone if we could just say "oh, everyone should use X because it will make their MS better in all of these ways," but unfortunately MS doesn't work like that. emoticon

Anyway, it's nice to have you with us and I really do hope that Tysabri will help you as much as Copaxone has helped me.

Reached 118 lbs for about 6 months;have gained.
Goal range: 107-118 lbs/W31.5. Under 123 OK

Hey everyone, I'm Q!

I was diagnosed with relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis in July of 2007. The MS related facts that might or might not be important:

I am on Tysabri to treat my MS, and it is the third therapy I tried. Before that I was on Copaxone (which made me feel absolutely terrible once a week, might have damaged my liver, and didn't help me slow down my progression at all) and my very first therapy was Avonex. I learned how to inject myself once a day and all I seemed to have gotten out of it was the injection site reactions.

More things about me:
I'm a Massage Therapist! I love helping people to feel better. This can mean so many different things, and I could go on and on about massage - because I am truly passionate about it!
I am in desperate need of core strengthening, as I can't get through a day of massage without back pain, and I know that I have anterior pelvic tilt that could be helped by both weightloss (why I'm here!) and overall stronger core muscles. And as a massage therapist, I know that without the core muscles, I'm just taxing my other muscles too much.

I love to get to know new people, and I'm sorta just coasting around this site by myself, so if anyone needs/wants more friends here, don't hesitate to send me a friend request!!!
