Hi Becky! I've been away from the group for a while, but feeling much better and ready to come back. It comes and it goes...I don't let it rule me, but sometimes you have to go with the flow and that might mean more naps...
A Disease Modifying Drug is the way to go and make sure your doctor explains all your options. I take COPAXONE which is a subcutaneous injection. It has been around for a long time with good results...it does have side effects for some people, but in general, they are minimal...other people on the team take different drugs and can tell you all about them...
Don't fear the diagnosis...there is much help here to make your journey not so bad...

Hi Becky and welcome to the group!

Like Val said, educate yourself about MS. Make sure you have a neurologist that will listen to you and give you the time you need. Most importantly, start on a disease modiying drug as soon as possible. They do not cure the disease, but they will help to slow the progression.

Enjoy every moment with your little girl, there are going to be tons of moments.

Welcome to the group. Nice to meet you, sorry you have a reason to be here. Try to get all the information you can find about MS and talk to your doctor about all of the available treatment options because you should start on one sooner rather than later. I want you to be with your girl when she has all of her moments, too. emoticon Even though this group hasn't been super active recently, please post as often as you'd like to. There is probably someone in the group who can answer almost any question you can come up with and the support is really good, too. emoticon

There was much rejoicing!
