We are glad that you are here and that you are going to give this a go. It is nice to see someone who has had health issues like yours still trying his best to do what is best for his body. I am proud of you. I am not sure I could.

Like others said if you need support or just want to vent this is where you can always come. Vent to us or just talk to us we are here to support each other in becoming what WE want to be....healthier.

emoticon and welcome from the desert in So. Cal. This is a great web sight. The nutrition tracker is a key component to loosing as well as the fitness tracker. There are lots of nice people who will encourage you when you get stuck or down and cheer you on as you succeed. The articles are quite informative, and lest we forget the

Welcome curveball! I know what you mean about taking steps forward and then back! But you will find lots of encouragement and help from everyone here. Be sure to post often and ask any questions that you have. I know we can all do this!

Hi all,
I have been trying to loose 10- 15 lbs for a while now, and seem to take three steps forward and later four back. I try to walk everyday but lately haven't done so.
I am sure some of you know the drill!
Anyway, Hello to you all and good luck!
I am a male in my late sixties, married and have two little grand-daughters almost 4 and 2 in October.
I have had open-heart valve repair in 2002, a heart attack in 2004, but now am in good health. That alone should be motivation to lose the weight.
