Greetings Glad to have another proud parent of a BT on the team !
My parents got a BT named Mrs. Busy for my older brother when he was 3 she was 5 at the time. She lived to be 16! Then my parents had me 10 years later and Mrs. Busy had passed so they got a puppy for my brother who was named Mr. Busy ! He lived to be 15! As I was growing up my God Mother had a BT also named Two Bits after her husband who was one of the first players on a pro-football team. Two Bits Homan ! She and I grew up together along with Mr. Busy. Then I had to playmates who owned BT's Tippa a sweet lady and Henry what a little glad tiding he was! Now I'm a proud owner of Bizzie Boy and Zoe Girl Bizz is now 10 and Zoe is still only 3 ! Will she ever grow up? Still so full of vim & Vigger ! So happy to have another team member and wish you great success with your healthy living and changing up your lifestyles. Hi OhioMon Shekerk

Hi Ohiomom!
I remember reading somewhere about your husband's passing and once again express my sympathy and prayers your way. I think it was wonderful that he had those years with both a boxer and a BT. You are wonderful too for giving him that happiness and fulfilling his bucket list.
AND saving the life of a rescue dog.
Have a great weekend!

Funny how your hubby did not like their looks, mine fell in love with them right away tho he had a boxer in his parents home and wanted one after we got married, but fell in love with the BT's at my parents and was happy with having them for years and so enjoyed playing with them for years. But many years later we had the chance to adopt a white boxer from a rescue and I had remembered my promise that he would someday get a boxer, and as things turned out I am so glad I remembered because he enjoyed having both the BT and boxer for the last 15+ years of his life as the BT died a little over a year before we lost the Boxer and and the Boxer died January and then my Husband died on March 2011, so I guess you could say JoJo was part of my husband bucket list. I know that sounds really stupid and horrible not funny, but that dog brought my husband so much joy and that dog loved my husband so much that had my husband gone before the dog, JoJo would have grieved himself to death in a very short time as he was nearly 16 yrs old at the time and so very attached to my husband.

Hi there!
Welcome to our group! I also live in Florida. I remember how happy I was when I found this group too!
When I was about 12 my parents bought our first BT. My dad had always wanted one when he was a kid and when the time was right he got one. He wanted a male but ended up with a female they named Roxy. After I moved to Florida, my husband wanted a dog and I said it could only be a Boston. He thought they looked like creatures from outer space, but gave in and loved her (also named Roxie) dearly. Sadly we lost her a few years ago and so far haven't gotten another one.
Welcome again to our group!

Welcome to the group, my first BT, Princess was when I was 5yrs and then my parents had her bred and she had two pups, we sold one and I cried and cried and my parents decided we could not sell Cookie the other pup so we had the two until I moved out and had a family of my own. Then my husband and I got our first and 2nd BT Bea Bea and Brandi when our oldest daughter was about 7/8 yrs old, we had them until well after she graduated HS. Then we got our Juliette, we had her until she was 15 yrs old, I have a picture of her on this site along with JoJo our white Boxer. Now we have Lili. We got her last fall and she just turned 1 year old this past August. She is such a joy to have around. Needless to say I only have eyes for Boston Terriers, the only reason we got the Boxer was because I had promised my husband we would get one, he was a joy to have as well and both dogs were great companions at the time.

I am glad you found us, hopefully we can all become healthy BT parents.

Hi everyone!

I'm Nancy from Florida, and I am a BT owner 3 times in my life starting in 1979.

My first BT, was Tobi...I had her as a little puppy when I was only 9 years old and she passed in 1991 at age 13.

My 2nd BT was Pepper...I had her as a puppy in 1991 and she also passed at age 13 in 2004.

My 3rd BT that I have now named Oreo was born in 2005 and I still have her today.

I love all of them, and even all BTs. :) I am so glad to find this group...nice meeting all of you. :)
