Pilates is great. It is a little tough at first..you will be sore all over! Its so weird at first because there is this awful week or two where your back hurts if you dont sit with good posture (but if you do..that doesnt feel great either). Its really a good thing though because soon after you just automatically have great posture! Once you build your core muscles up, all exercises (even running) seem easier :)

Hi, I'm new too. Just had my 3rd class. Hoping to fix some back problems from previous car accidents, I just need to learn how to do the exercises so it doesn't hurt. I'm getting a physical therapy assessment from the providers there on Friday, and can't wait.

Looking forward to getting into this, I'm sure I'll become addicted!

Hello everyone! I am very new to Pilates as in I have NEVER done it before. I just bought the DVD 10 Minute Solution: Slim & Sculpt Pilates and I can't wait for it to arrive so I can get started. I hope I love it as much as everyone here seems too. Just looking really to incorporate something new to my routines. I'm an avid Jillian Michael's follower and do her DVD's regularly along with cardio on the elliptical. I'm excited to bring Pilates into my life as well....

Hi I'm new and I started doing pilates when I was pregnant. My husband got me a 10 minute pre-natal pilates DVD and ever since I have liked the way it makes me feel after I am done. Right now I am doing a danskin pilates dvd that uses the swiss ball and weighted balls.

I used to do Pilates many years ago. Well, I am back on track. I have a Pilates machine now so that will help me. I also have a dkier in my workout room at home. I walk the dog at least twice a day. Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

Hi everyone, I'm new to pilates and learning how to do some basic things. My hurdles include being overweight and not very fit and having multiple sclerosis. I think pilates could be quite helpful to me to develop more strength and flexibility. I look forward to exploring this group. emoticon
