Good morning from Italy!
I have been doing WW online on and off since 2004. I originally lost 70+ pounds with Core, a loss I maintained for several years. I went back to WW in 2014 until I got back to my goal. In July of 2017, I quit smoking, therefore joined again in October. I am back at goal. I never effectively absorbed the changes from Core. I tried the new Freestyle program, but am thoroughly convinced it's not for me. My official paid membership is up at the end of March and honestly I want to move forward with calories/ macros while eating in a simply filling manner.
I have always loved the Sparkpeople community and am willing to learn to make the trackers an everyday part of my life.
BTW, I am a 61 yr old married woman, own a men's clothing boutique and have been living in Italy since 1984. I am originally from Boston :) Looking forward to being here

Hi Phyllis! Welcome! I am so glad you are here! I post different simply filling recipes as a I find them, and there are some great core recipes that help too, which are on the bottom thread. I also have a little challenge of letting me know how you liked a recipe, and please feel free to come chat with me on the chat thread, or here too! Here's to us living simply free and filling! Yay! Go Phyllis! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hi,
I've always learned so much from Weight Watchers but like others I sometimes need a new outlook to get me moving again.
Thanks for the encouragement!

Hi, I'm Blanche. Found your site by chance, and really liking the recipe ideas.
I've been with WW for 14 years, 13 as Lifetime. You really have some great ideas to change up the menus! I'm going to try some.

Hello from Alaska :) I hope your new year is starting off well!

I was on the formal WW program about 6 years ago and lost 60lbs on the Core, I was ecstatic! Then I had some serious health issues which knocked me out for a few years, and between my health and the drugs I was put on, I gained quite a bit of weight. I recently received an OK from my medical team to start to lose weight, so now I'm on my way to reclaiming my health!

I like the Core, but because of my work, travel, and school schedules, trying to get to a meeting on a regular basis is about impossible for me. I tried to do the online WW program but it changed so much, and all I wanted was the Core Plan, so here I am - with like-minded people :) Here's to reclaiming and embracing our health!

Hi - I was sitting here wanting to go on a low carb diet, after being in WW for I don't know many years, and realized that the core plan always worked for me and its not that constricting. Why do we go off lifestyle changes is beyond me, but I'm definitely back with the core--so glad there is still a team forum out there

Hi I am Vicki and am a lifetime member with WW. I have put some weight back on and am adamant about getting it off. I was doing the flex plan and have decided to try the core plan for the first time. I started last Wed and have lost 3 pounds so far. I have 4-5 more lbs to get off to be where I need to be. Any tips for the core plan?

It's not a short-term diet. It's a long-term lifestyle change.

Hi! I'm Patti. I really love WW and have been with Spark and WW and have lost 50 pounds. I still have about 30 to go. I have been on this team for a bit, and have totally enjoyed the recipes and support. I really like the new Simply Filling Plan, (Core) and alternate it with points at times. It really helps when I have been off track, and I go to the Simply Filling, and enjoying the Power Foods. I am taking a small Spark Break from my other teams, but would like to get this team going again. Will be thinking about it while on break, and will check back. We can do it! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hi, Sue, As you probably know, WW reinstated in 2012 a non-tracking version of the program called 'Simply Filling Technique'. The Core food list is replaced by the Power Foods list.

My favourite WW team on SP is WW from home!! and I started a thread on there concerning Simply Filling. I have also seen threads on that topic in other WW-theme SP teams.

Somewhere on this Core Buddies team, HAPPYENZO remarked that the Power Foods from WW or the Core foods are very similar to Clean Eating. There is at least one SP team about that approach.

I like your expression of being a Food Nazi; maybe I would need to do that myself - I haven't been doing as well lately.

We would be happy if you were to join us at WW from home!! In any case, all the best with the Core approach. It is certainly very effective and has helped millions I am sure to get rid of excess body fat.

Hi, I'm Sue. I joined WW in 2007 and lost 113 mostly on Core. This past 2 years, I have gained back almost half of that. I was never able to find the "sweet spot" in PP that allowed me to lose consistently so I quit WW. I used Sparkpeople to record calories and have lost weight but have found myself straying from my Core way of eating more and more. So I am back, still tracking calories but also tracking Core on paper. I need to get back to being a Food Nazi.

I can't do anything about my genes, but I can sure do something about my jeans!

Hello, my name is Tammy. I followed the Core Plan a few years ago and was very successful but I let life get in my way and gained all of it back. I am trying to get back on track. If anyone is on this plan. I would love to hear from you...
Thanks

: PETITELUNE- I just wanted to say thank you so much for the e-mail and also the warm welcome and info. I'm so sorry I would of e-mailed but it is giving me trouble sending e-mail to others it's very strange? I went under my account trying to fix it with not much luck and I even tried to send to verify my e-mail and it won't work. I will keep trying to fix that. I did join the other group also and thanks again. I hope by making my ticker for 15 pounds only each time helps me? I really would like to lose about 70 but I worry if I don't do smaller goals?

Thank you again,
Maryann

I wanted to introduce myself and I just started my WW today on my own though. I'm a lifetime member and I lost a couple times in the past and know it works. Of course I was a lot younger and maybe not at my heaviest like now. I started today and I know if I keep checking in weighing myself only once a week and following the plan I'll be good. So I hope it is alright. It's not that I don't want to join and go to the meetings with everything going up it's more the cost than anything. I really do want to lose and feel I know I can do this. I really would appreciate any help and will try to do the same for others. I might set my weight lose goals at 15lbs each time so it doesn't seem like so much to get to. Is that sometimes a good idea?

Thank you so much,
Maryann :)

My favourite trick to find other WW teams: you click on the spark page of someone (like me) who is a member of a WW team and look at their Spark teams. By clicking on those icons, you can visit those teams. Also, towards the bottom right of any main team page is a list of other teams of the members of this particular team. I am not very comfortable using computers, it's all trial and error for me, I'm still learning how to use Spark. Of course, you can do a search for teams titled WW or W8Watchers or Wait Watchers, but I only found part of those teams by doing that.

Spark is a great place to get support; I have been doing really when since I came back in January after being away for 15-16 months. I am not a WW member (last time was 2004), but I found that I can find almost all info I need either here or by using Google.

Wish you all the best. We can both reach our goals!

P.S. I just checked your page and see that you became a member of W8Watchers Friends; that is I believe the biggest WW Spark team, and I know some of its members are following Simply Filling with success.
P.P.S. I have added you as a friend and would be pleased if you added me as well, so that I can follow you on my friend feed. Let's talk again.

Happyenzo, Unfortunately, this team is pretty inactive. There are many teams of WW-related themes on Spark. I don't believe there is one dedicated to the Simply Filling Technique. I saw on your sparkpage that you recently became a member of WW -- all the best to you on your journey.

Hi!
I do not follow Core nor Simply Filling (2012), but I keep a list of WW Power Foods on my fridge & put a check mark next to them in my food diary. I wish to eat a high proportion of those foods, while counting all my points (TurnAround 2004 program that I follow on my own, with the support of my Sparks friends).

Hello everyone,
My name is Kim and I have been on and off of Spark for a while now. I recently got married to the man of my dreams. I am now focusing on finally dropping the weight and with that I know that WW is the way to do that. I was a WW member a few years ago and found that it was the only was to drop the weight a healthy way. So here I am back on track and ready to change my lifestyle so that it is healthy for life.

Hi. I did Weight watchers 2009/2010 and lost 18lbs but then plateaued and gained again. Probably due to stress leading up to Mum passing away in September. Felt it was a waste of money to continue but have all the information to do WW at home myself. Just need encouragment. emoticon

Hi Terri. Glad to see ya here. Core gives me a good break. I don't like being on it all the time but it works for me for about a week every 5 or 6 weeks or so. BTW 1% cottage cheese is not core.

Hello Jackie and CoreBuddies. My name is Terri. I have been following the SFT on Weight Watchers online and I love it. I enjoy that I don't have to be hungry and I am eating healthier, my whole family is eating healthier.

I have my tweaks, everyone does. Mine is I count the 1% cottage cheese as Core.
