it's true that Core revolves around the list of foods that do not have to be counted, and that the weekly points are the only points that must be counted for foods that are not Core foods. When you look at the list, you will see, for example, that the healthy guidelines you need to ingest every day are all part of the Core list, and so you don't have to track points for them, which is very convenient.

For me, the things I especially like about Core are these: after about ten days of following Core, cravings seem to go away for many people. It becomes much easier to focus on eating wonderful food that is truly good for you, in amounts that satisfy you but do not make you feel "full" or stuffed....and to my mind, there is a learning curve as you begin to listen to your body to determine when you are no longer "hungry" and should stop eating. And, equally important, to find out when you are "hungry" and need to eat, instead of letting the clock or social convention regulate your meals.

I hope you love this way of eating and find great success with it.

Enjoy the full range of food options, while making better choices with the POINTS® system.
Choose any food as long as you control how much you eat.
Easily handle any food challenge, even when choices are limited. Each food has been assigned points and you are alloted so many points a day.

On the Core Plan focus on wholesome foods without counting…
Eat wholesome foods from all the food groups – fruits and vegetables, grains and starches, lean meat, fish and poultry, eggs and dairy.
Enjoy satisfying eating without empty calories.
Have the occasional treat in controlled amounts.
You are only allowed to eat foods that are on the list. If you eat foods NOT on the list, points are used in a limited amount.

I hope I explained this okay.
The biggest difference is counting or not counting points. On flex, your limited to how many points you can eat. On core, you are limited to the kind of food you can eat.
