That makes sense, Carrie! Maybe you can design a short program that you can add a minute or two every week or as you are able?

The issue I have with water sports is the need to go to a place and pay money. I have a fully equipped gym in my house and I can cycle and row; I just need to get back to them. I will never be able to cycle outside again, but....

Thanks Jo-Ann!!!

I tracked my breakfast, And I'm planning to track everything else today as well!!!

Yesterday, I've done 40min on the elliptical at a good pace, it felt really good!!! I'm going to try to do this every other day!

You're right about new habits, I think it takes about 2 weeks to acquire a new habit so i'm going to work extra hard to get to two week make without giving up!!

Also, I'm 2 pounds lighter compared to the begining of the week! I'm started to feel better as well! I've always loved to exercise because of the way it makes me feel afterwards!

Thank

Marie

It takes time to develop new habits, like using the tracker, and beginning an exercise program.
You are off to a great start! We are all here to help each other stay accountable! Your English is much better than my French, I am certain, Marie!

Welcome back! I know it's hard I fight with motivation all the time. Just have to keep that goal in mind. You CAN do this!!

I understand about ankle issues and how hard it is to exercise. Have you considered water exercise? Deep water exercise has zero impact, shallow water exercise has much less impact than dry land. The water resistance helps you burn more calories. You don't have to be able to swim. I put off trying it and was sure I'd hate it, but finally decided that since I couldn't do much on land that I would have to learn to like it. Well, it turned out to be the best thing ever! Who knew? After a few years of participating in classes and losing a lot of weight, I became a certified instructor. Now I teach several classes a week!

I, too, am plagued with ankle issues, ending with a fusion in 2013, which began this downward cycle.

We CAN do this. We did it before.

Welcome, Marie.

I can totally understand where you're at. I've struggled with health issues for the last year and it's been difficult to even maintain the weight loss I had accomplished.

Sticking with it is the key! Welcome back and don't give up.

Hi my name is Marie,

I joined SP in january 2012, I lost about 30 pounds that year, then I plateaued, hurt my ankle, got busy at work, started taking some university class while working full time and having two kids... If you can think of an excuse, I probably have it!

But the thing is, they're all true, but I was able to make it work in 2012. I was on mat leave then, but I still had an ectic schedule.

So hurting my ankle was realy my downfall, I've pretty much stopped exercising while trying to heal my ankle.. it took almost a year.

Now, we're in january 2014, and I'm back to my starting weight 255... I'm upset and angry at myself for letting myself go..

But I'm back now.. and I'me gonna try to stick to it
