I'm a 40 year old that has definitely been inspired by Dara Torres and Diana Nyad and their swimming achievements, and so when I joined a gym in my neighborhood 2 months ago, I was delighted to see that there was a lap pool, and I've incorporated swimming into my workout plan ever since, and absolutely LOVE it.

I now swim 2-3 times a week, run 3 times a week and do Zumba and spin classes to keep things interesting. Swimming is definitely my first love, though...not only is my body getting into better shape, but there's such a feeling of peace and tranquility when I'm in the water, even when doing a really intense workout in the pool.

I'm so glad I found this group and look forward to getting to know yas and getting some tips to improve my swimming experience!
