Hey SKIMBRO! I joined this team several years ago when I first found SP. I’ve trimmed back the number of teams I’m on. I’d like to use this team more to kick up my exercise routine and challenge myself daily and weekly!

I think I originally posted this in the wrong spot, still learning my way around how to use these forums!
I read the about the 7 best teams to join and this one seemed like a great idea! I started working out and logging my eating, in earnest, in mid-April. I've lost 20 pounds and while I think that's awesome and I already feel better, I have a lot more to go. Looking forward to getting even more motivation from this team!

I actually joined about a week ago maybe, but my cat hasn't let me use the computer long enough to get through the starting articles on here to figure out how it worked. She's finally sleeping in a sunbeam on the other desk, instead of trying to sleep right on top of my hand that uses the mouse.

Hi....I also read about the team on the same SP article as mentioned below and decided to check it out. I'm all about accountability and challenges and this seems to be something I will enjoy doing. Since I no longer go to a gym this is my only source of challenge and motivation. I've had great luck in the past with the 5% weight loss challenge, but am now so close to my goal I need something to kick it up a bit.

Hi! I read about your team in a Spark Article this morning and checked out your team page right away. This seemed to be an active team, with lots of positive energy and, since I'm all about challenging myself, your daily challenges really appealed to me.

I've been with SP forever, on and off, and have been active this go 'round since January. I've been moderately successful, but have stagnated of late. I'm hoping the challenges here will re-ignite my progress.

Hello I am Amy, Sparking for 7 1/2 years. I am a Hodgkin's Lymphoma survivor for 20 years now and a 6 time stroke survivor my most recent stroke was in 2/2016! I have CKD and Moderate COPD from Bleomycin Toxicity. Bleomycin is a chemo agent and it causes irreversible lung damage. I still keep on exercising it is better to keep active than be inactive.

Hello! I've been a Spark member for two years. The first year I was fairly successful, the second year I backslid almost all the way back to my starting weight. I have several thoughts about the reasons for this, and lack of exercise is definitely a major part of it. This year I joined a gym for the first time in my life. It's a mile and a half from my home and I'm really looking forward to some warmer dry weather so I can walk there and back. I've tried a couple of classes but so far don't have the stamina to stay the entire 45 minute session. I'm sweating to some oldies with Richard Simmons at home (he doesn't care if I quit early) and lifting weights a little. I'm also riding the stationary bike at the gym. I'm up to 20 minutes, working my way up to being able to join the hour-long class.
I totally need help with motivation. Going to the gym is not a habit yet and I'm much better at talking myself out of it that into it.

Hello I'm Barbara and I'm looking forward to digging into the challenges. I need something like this to get me moving.

I just came back Memorial Day weekend and got real serious (again). I've lost 10 pounds right away just by eating differently. Now I'm just starting to feel like exercising. I think short bursts of exercise like HIIT will do a lot for me, but it's not easy even getting started on that!

I think these challenges are just the thing I need right now.

Hi,

My name is Callie and I have 50 lbs to lose. I am off to a great start with SP.

I like the official SP challenges. SP Official Healthy Cooking Challenge and SP Official 'Eat Up, Slim Down' Challenge

Making changes;-)

1. Planning meals now
2. Drinking 2.2 L of H2O per day
3. Keeping fruit in bowls throughout my house
Lastly, Tracking my food calories with (wow....lots of work there, but gotta do it!) week one of SP Official 'Eat Up, Slim Down' Challenge

Hi I'm new. I've been sparking for about 6 weeks, but I really need to improve my fitness, and this seemed like a good way. I'm a preschool aide, so most of my exercise comes from chasing 4 year-olds on the playground (otherwise known as running in circles while yelling "Tickle monster is going to get you!" which is a pretty fun workout). I'm hoping that I can motivate my kids to exercise as well. I look forward to getting to know you all.

G'day,
Tom here, just wondering if this team is open to men too? I like the concept of a quick fire as my job keeps me sitting a lot of the day. I'm either in meetings or working on computer emailing etc. And just need a little bit of motivation to be less sedentary.

Hi! I'm Lynn, I've been sparking since March/2013, lost 40 pounds so far but have stalled out in the last couple of months.

I need something like this to get a spark re-started - I've been plateaued since Sept and have really been dragging about getting going again. I'm hoping these 'little' challenges will help get me into an exercise routine.

Not at all new to SpatkPeople but new to the team. I have lost 30 pounds so grand have 13 more to go for goal. I have been good at staying on plan with eating and fair at exercise.

Have been gaining and losing the same 1 or 2 pounds for a couple of weeks now - so wanted to join a challenge and find one that will include accountability and encouragement. this looks like the spot for me.

I am 48, and together with my husband we are The Salvation Army Officers currently Appointed to Lake Havasu City AZ.
