Hey, everyone can have a bad day once in a while, but is it just me or are other folks with food allergies experiencing a lot of wrath coming from other people regarding your food allergies. It used to be taught in school not to be prejudice against the differences in others. What happened?

For years now, I've been following a blogger who, among other topics of interest to me, posts about life with food allergies. Mostly I just read new posts and so far I've never commented. Then one post caught my eye. I commented on it and was blasted on the blog with a very public comment that I was a fake person because I said I have a tomato allergy. Wow! Seriously. No one person's opinion of me, no matter how mean or nasty is not going to change how I think about myself but wow. What's going on with people that they are so nasty towards allergies? Especially those folks who have some themselves, perhaps different from one another, but still--we know what it is like to be discourage "I cannot eat that." or "I cannot go with you" because of serious allergic reactions.

anyway, hope everyone is having an awesome day!
