I checked out your photos, the back shot behind the bikes is just beautiful! And I love the goat and critter shots too. Off to work only 3 days this week! Hootie Hoo!

Too cool!!! Another biker!!! Yes I ride... I've uploaded a few bike pictures if you'd like to take a look see... I really enjoy riding my V Star, but on the really long rides, I opt to go 2-up on the Wing.

I'd better go find my water jug and get to drinking... I'm gonna join the water challenge tomorrow. emoticon Not sure if this is supposed to be a water bottle or not, but there ya have it. *LOL*

Happy Hen do you ride too? Now that is awsume! My dh and I both ride. I ride a 2000 fat boy and he a 2003 road king! Now how cool is that! Obers and motorcycles! The same here! Obers and Nubians are my favorite, our daughter and grand daughters have lamancha and a couple saanen.
Yes our place will be ready (We hope) by the time we can retire!

Never been to Indiana, but have a friend from there.

I just love the Obers... Their beautiful bay coloring is quite striking in the sunshine... I'll try to post a few more pictures of my critter family.

Hey - By getting your retirement place and working on it now, by the time you're actually ready to retire, most of the work will be done and you'll be able to enjoy it... However, if you're like my DH and I, we enjoy the "labor of love" that goes into our farm.

We also enjoy riding our motorcycles, so it's important that we keep things pretty much self sufficient, so our critter sitters have more fun than work. emoticon

Between the critters still up here and the one's down in Kansas, we've got 40 some odd chickens, 7 cats, 3 Labs, 4 goats (1 Nigerian Dwarf Doe, 1 Boer Doe, 2 Oberhasli Doe & Wether) and 3 1/2 Quarter Horses... My mare Doll is due to foal in May.

Welcome!! That is going to be quite a change from Alaska to Kansas. Russ and I built our retirement home 3 years ago although we won't be able to actually retire for about 11 years or so. Do you have any animals -if so what kind?

Hi Everyone!!!

I'm in Alaska at the moment, where my DH and I have lived since '94... We're getting ready to retire and move to Kansas, where I've been for the past year and a half, building our retirement place.

I've worked on a ranch in Fallon, NV but for the most part have lived in Alaska since 1952, when my family and I moved up from California.

I look forward to chatting and sharing ideas.
