Hello All,

My name is Kt\at and I live in California. I LOVE looking at cookbooks and reading recipes! I used to collect cookbooks, but now I preview recipes online. I stopped buying the cookbooks because I would rarely make any of the recipes.

I hope I'm posting correctly this time, I seem to have lost my first introduce myself. I'm a 64 year happily married lady, and cooking is my passion. Over the past 4 days I have been working hard to get back to healthy cooking versus the eating vacation I've been on for the last 1.5 years.

There are many things I can bake and it won't bother me at all not to have a taste, but some things I know I can no longer make until I have better control of my eating patterns, I know it will come. So far in the short few days I've been back to Sparks I am feeling much better, and my tummy has also been much happier....

So I am hoping to pick up hacks and cooking tips for healthy lifestyle cooking and baking. Already I have just made a batch of low fat cherry vanilla yogurt and also low sugar. I have a question, I seem to recall you could put your recipe into a checker and it would tell you how many nutrients in that recipe, perhaps I am missing it since everything has changed a bit, I will keep noodling around but if someone can help me with that to start, I would be grateful. Have a wonderful Friday and into the long weekend.

Hello. I'm Mrs. Tejano (Mrs. Texan), or Becky. I've loved to cook ever since I was a very young girl. I now have an enormous amount of recipes, and am working on tossing a lot, but keeping the healthy ones. About me: I am a redhead, left-handed, married to a great guy and I love animals. I have tried for a long time to lose weight, and now slowly it is working. I have a long way to go to be a healthy weight, but I'm getting there one pound at a time. I'm fluent in Spanish and lost to use my Spanish. Am very excited to be a part of this team!

Kevin here. SP since 2010, on again off again with efforts. I do all the cooking at home, when not traveling. Have youtube'd my skills fairly well, but always enjoy learning...

Mostly low carb, lots of veggies (super farmer's market nearby).

Hi, I'm Pam and have been a member here since April 2010. I have some food sensitivities and am constantly looking for recipes and foods that will fit my diet plan. I stumbled across this group and found that there are some informative topics that will keep me on the right path and striving towards eating foods that are healthy and will not cause symptoms.

I've been teaching myself to cook since I could push a dining chair up to the stove to climb up and reach it, about age three. I've always enjoyed it so much I can remember my grand parents buying me cookbooks for Christmas when I was only nine or ten years old! I'm still an avid kitchen crafter and Pinterest for recipes these days is my best friend! I've already uploaded about five recipes to SparkRecipes on this site. I'm sure I'll add a ton more, as well.

Keep positive, keep tracking and keep moving and sweating.

Hello Everyone, l love cooking, l have been blessed with growing up with amazing cooks on both sides of my family. I began cooking along side family members at probably about 3 years old, helping in anyway I could. Started cooking on my own at around eight. I find cooking to be a zen for me, when I am in the kitchen l am in my own peaceful world. Looking forward learning and sharing with others that also love to cook.

Hello all. I am returning to the group after years away. I cook pretty much every night and love doing it for my family of 3. With a teenage/athletic son and a simple eater for a partner I have to get creative with meals so I love finding recipes that will make us all happy.

Hi all, I love to cook but am terrible and weekly meal planning. I plan my groceries and then I just go from there based off what I buy. I need to lose 50 pounds and I believe the way to do it is to meal plan but it's hard for a single person. I'm used to feeding masses of friends, family, and neighbors and now - I just need to feed me.

Any tips on good meals for one that I won't end up having to eat for two weeks straight would be a big help.

I like to cook. I cook mostly for two (husband and myself). I enjoy new recipes and playing with my kitchen gadgets. I am constantly looking for new ways to use healthy ingredients. I do enjoy experimenting with new to us spices too.

I'm 49 and I'm overhauling my diet and fitness. I love to cook. In order to succeed I am having to get creative with my cooking. I dislike fake foods. I dislike substitutions. I like bold flavors and whole foods. I am excited to meet people who enjoy cooking and eating. I don't want my fitness journey to be one of deprivation. I enjoy my lifestyle. I just want to tweak it until it is healthier.

Hi! I am re-introducing myself!! I am a mother and an inspiring chef/caterer! I love to cook and try to challenge myself in the kitchen! I have tried all cuisines... haven't mastered all, but still try! Not the greatest Baker as far as presentation... still tastes good I have been told! Lol.... Marty, live in Florida with Hubby And our little q 90 pound fur babe Coco. We feed three feels that have been at our home for about four years, captured and had neutered so,the colony will not grow. We make every effort to eat healthy shopping at our local farmer's markets, local fish houses, leaving the grocery stores for other fill ins of fresh meats, etc. There is a farm truck that comes in every 3 months with large packages of frozen veggies which we purchase and re packages into use able sizes. I get the baby br is sells sprouts and the Crowder peas which we like. I get the bag of mixed veggies in the fall for my winter soups and meat pies.

I agree avocados are so good. Have you ever made avocado toast. Mash up avocado and mix with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Spread on toast and sprinkle with chia seeds. Makes a good breakfast.

Single momma of 3, hailing from Indianapolis. Trying to get back on track to lose weight I gained while I had my youngest. She is about to be three and it is time to shove away all excuses and get the weight off.

I love to run and use the elliptical. Trying to get back in shape to run 1/2 marathons again.

Cooking is a passion of mine and I love trying to develop healthy dishes that are pleasing to the palate. Pretty sure avocados can make most dishes better.
