Hi! I've had a Fitbit flex for two years now (though I had admittedly lost it for a while up until recently) and am excited to start using it again. I'm glad to join the spark team. I have a lot of weight I want to lose and looking forward to using my Fitbit to help me along the way. I really enjoyed doing the workweek hustle and weekend warrior when I was active with the Fitbit before.

I just got a new FitBit HR 2.. I had a FitBIt HR and switched to Apple watch in April. While the appleWatch is nice - it doesn't compare to a FitBit for fitness tracking, sleep & autoDetecting. So I'm back.... again!

Hello, Today was my first day with a Fitbit Charge 2. I am in love. I have been on Spark for about 6 months. I have lost 36 lbs. so far. I have about another 15 lbs. to go. Still learning everything about this Fitbit and hoping it will keep me honest.

My name is Julie. I have been a member of Spark People on and off since 2013. I am back and hopefully I can keep up with it now especially since I have the app and my FitBit. I love the motivation I get from Spark People and the FitBit.

Hi my name is Susan and I just found this group. I have been using my new fitbit charge since the end of August. Took me some time to sync it with Sparks (I seem to be technically challenged). I also have it synced with Carrot Rewards (here in Canada), this earns me points for free movies. I'm not the greatest walker, but I am a water jogger....too bad the fitbit charge is not waterproof.....oh well at least it does keep me moving on land.

Greetings! I just (re)joined SparkPeople today...I had an account years and years ago, but gave it up after less than a year. So now I am starting fresh. I've also been doing a HealthyWage challenge to lose 75lbs in 12 months. I'm two months into that and almost 21lbs down. Ten months and 54 pounds to go...and walking is my main exercise.

I've had my fitbit for over a year now, but only seriously started using it in August when I joined my HealthyWage challenge. I also entered some step challenges to increase my step count by 25% over two months...blew the first one out of the water (I was averaging less than 4k steps a day and now am over 10k/day) and will be starting my next challenge on 10/9 with a goal of over 17k steps/day for two months.

My main purpose for joining this group is to build a broader support system for walking that will last beyond my HealthyWage challenge and help me maintain my weight loss. I figure joining up with other fitbit users will be a great way to stay connected and keep up the walking encouragement.

Sara~

Hi my name is Claudia, I have had my Fitbit for 2 years. I just joined the team this week. I am trying to lose weight and get in shape but it is difficult for me because there is no one in my family who wants to do the same. One good thing is I am determined and I feel that is the first step in any goal you start. I am hoping that joining SparkPittsburgh and this team will help.

My name is Tracey and have always been able to manage my weight but I am now 41 yrs. old and having a hard time managing it. Even with a husband and son I still am not losing much. But I have been doing my 11,000 steps daily and been trying to run at least 2 to 3 times. So looking to lose some weight and maintain.

I need to pay more attention to food and lose this weight! I've been walking, and I want to continue to be focused as winter arrives and along with it the cold and dark that make walking outside unpleasant.

I'm a returning Sparker, now with an Alta HR. I want to lose 77lbs and get down to my high school weight. I'm really glad that Fitbit and Spark people sync up, that makes this much easier.

I am new to Spark and this forum. I have the Fitbit Blaze. I got it to track my HR and since I am a RN, I really needed something that had a second hand or timer on it rather than wearing two different devices.

Glad to have found this forum. I need the motivation!

Just saw this team on another Sparker's page and decided to join. I have the Fitbit Alta HR - a pretty basic version. I bought it to track my emoticon which has been pretty revealing. I also use it to see a broader view of my activities and cardio health, but don't really pay a lot of attention to steps outside of recording them.

This is day 12 of my Spark journey. I finally dug out the fitbit and charged it up. I'm doing really well with the whole food plant based food choices, but have to get moving and keep getting more steps in my day.

Yay! New team!!!

emoticon Hello Fitbit team! My name is Margie and I recently moved into the Boise, ID foothills. I have been on SP since 2010, and have used several different trackers. I just purchased a Fitbit Charge 2 a couple of days ago and have only used it for one day. I was about 9 pounds from my goal 4 years ago, a couple of major injuries and I am now 50 pounds from goal. Still here, and anxious to see how the Charge 2 will help with my goals.

Good morning my fellow Fitbit users,
My name is Eboni and I have been using a Fitbit for almost 2 years. I use to be a Jawbone user but it got boring.
I moved to a state where I don't have any family or many friends so my Fitbit helps me to stay accountable. I like one of the other members have fell off of the weight loss wagon and have recently gained about 20 lbs after losing 155lbs. I am over 200 lbs again and I want so badly to GET IT OFF!! I'm glad to be a part of the team!!!!

Greetings!
I have been a FitBit user for some time - as stated by a bunch of others I am much better with it. I was with Spark before and I really helped me. After gaining some back and trying other things, I am back. I reset all my numbers as I feel I need to begin fresh.
If something works, why go elsewhere?
Here's to new beginnings!

Have been on Sparkpeople since about 2011. In my first year I started morning cardio strength training workouts and went from 240 lbs. to 200. Then I began running with the C25K program. Ran a 1/2 marathon in 2013, 2014, 2015. In 2016 I challenged myself further. My wife and I both did the 1/2 marathon at the Deadwood Mickelson Trail Marathon in June. In August we ran the Lean Horse on the Mickelson Trail for 30K (actually was a little further because we missed the turn around point LOL). Then in October I did the full marathon and wifey did the half at Run Crazy Horse Event. In Jan 2017 I slipped on some ice during a training run and fractured my ankle. 23 weeks it took to heal. Now I am in week 8 Day 1 today in the C25K program and finished 9 weeks of my cardio strength training program, and have registered for my first 5K event post ankle fracture. And recovery is going well. Got this fitbit charge hr and going to see how goes. Thank You for welcoming me to this group.

Hi FitBit users, nice to meet you.

I have been a member of SP since 2010 and have lost 100 pounds since and still working on losing more. Fitness has always been my challenge. I started walking in June as often as I can in the evenings. I'm surprised and happy that I am still doing it most nights. I have only been able to track the time frame. A member on my local team was so kind to offer me this FitBit Flex so I can track my steps. I know it will be a big motivation as well. I hope I have set it up and synced it correctly. We shall see, LOL !!!

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Hi to All! I'm new to the Fitbit Forum on SP, but have been using Fitbit (off and on - mostly on) for almost two years. I used to get 10,000+ steps daily for quite awhile, but have not even averaged 5,000 steps daily for quite some time. Looking forward to encouragement and challenges here, hoping to meet the 10,000 step daily goal once again.

Hi, I'm Wyndy. I'm 68 with 150 pounds to lose. I had more but lost 50 when I was a member awhile back. I had the old SP tracker, now I have a flex. Just received it, and it was so easy to connect, just hit the connect! Amazing.

I am 68 and have used the Fitbit for over a year. My son was concerned I wasn't getting enough walking in because of the many disease process I have. Love it. Always work for 5000 steps. Since joining spark it's not counting here only on the device. I've synced it. Still trying to get it working.

Hi I am Lunadragon, aka Deborah,
I have been on SP a while, just back after falling off the wagon for a long time, during which time I got my fitbit flex (now on my 2nd one) going on year 4 as of November with Fitbit. I work at home, a mom of grown kids out of the nest, a grandmom, a wife. Back issues keep me from heavy duty exercise but Fitbit has been a lifesaver with pushing me to walk. I try to aim for 5K every day.

Hello Everyone. I live near Tucson, AZ - almost 11 years now. I am a long time Spark People user (with long periods of non use). Trying to be more consistent this time. So far I have a 3 day streak for signing in. I have the fitbit one. I was surprised to find (and successfully) sync it to SP. I will soon be starting my 2nd year of 3 in an online gradschool program for a MA. Last semester was a brutal assignment load plus a heavy load at my "real job". Healthy eating and exercise rarely made the list.

Here's to a new year, a new start, better habits and better time management.

Hello Everyone.. I am in Southwest Virginia and I have the FitBit charge 2 I am new to sparks people. I have a weird work schedule as I am either second shift for two nights then third shift for two nights. Been trying to get back in shape and lose some weight. I've had my FitBit since Dec 2016 and I love it. Lets keep those steps going.

Hi! I've been on Spark People for a long time, but I took a bit of a break for a while due to some complicated real-life stuff. But I'm back, and am trying to keep current with everything. I have a Fitbit Charge HR, and I love this thing. It's been really helpful for a number of reasons, but apparently I don't swing my arms enough when I walk so I'm working on that. I live in Atlanta, GA, and am working on improving my fitness and nutrition. Hello to everyone!

Hi Everyone,
I have been using Spark for some time now, but haven't managed to get to this "Fitbit" site. I have a Fitbit Charge HR. I'm pretty happy with it, but it doesn't always seem to sync with my Spark acct. I am a retired teacher. I have been traveling since retiring. I am having quite a bit of trouble dropping my weight. I am 30# shy of my goal. I love to do the Fitbit Challenges. I like the Spark app and appreciate all of the support from others. I find if I participate in supporting others that I manage to make better choices myself. Looking forward to getting back on track.

Hi again, I signed-up for this team when Sparkpeople pedometer was not longer tracking and had to buy Fitbit . Unfortunately now the Fitbit is not syncing with Sparkpeople since 7/4. I had been tracking my steps myself, hope this problem is solved. Sparkpeople has been very good to me, allowing me to be on top of my goals, intentions, resolutions for my health and exercise.
