My name is Mary. I need to lose my post baby weight. Diabetes runs in my family, and this is my true motivation to lose the weight. I hate needles, I could not imagine having to take insulin everyday or prick my finger to check my blood sugar. My brother has it.

Hi, I'm Evelyn. I've been a member of SP since May 09. I haven't made the significant gains that others have, but I lose motivation easy. That's why I want to join this team. Maybe this will help me stay on track. I have so much to lose I find it to be so overwhelming that I give in easy.
I will change all that with the help and support of SP.

Hello, my name is lydia. I have been with spark people since 2006 and have done okay but really commited to change my whole life style this summer and couldn't feel better. I live way to far out in the boonies to join a gym or a class so this is my substitute. I am not dieting but watching WHAT I eat instead of how much and am exercising every day. The cardio won't be a problem but I will have to work at getting the video exercise done.

Hello my name is Destini and I have been a member of Sparkpeople since May 2009. To date I have lost 50lbs and am within alb of my goal weight. The problem is that I need direction for toning. I am smaller in weight, but I believe some things need to be firmer.I am hoping bootcamp will lead me in the right direction.

Hi everyone. I'm Sherri and I have been a Spark member since May 2009. I have lost 93 pounds to date and still have a ways to go. Due to sickness and this super busy time of the year my exercise routine has gone out the window. I have only been able to walk a couple of times in the last 3 weeks. I am looking forward to a fresh start and the renewed energy...and less pain! I know that when I exercise I sleep better and my body doesn't have so many aches. I have a little over a year before I turn 50 and I am going to look and feel fabulous (at least compared to what I was - LOL).

This is my comeback tour! After several years at a different gym, I'm now at the best gym for me. It's near my house, has wonderful trainers, and offers great classes. As a result, I'm finally making progress. No, I haven't lost any weight, but some of that fat I was wearing has been replaced by muscle, and I feel much more energetic and alive. Let's make 2010 a great year! Go, Sparkpeople!

Hi, Everyone! I joined SparkPeople in June 2009. I met my weightloss goal in September 2009. After losing the weight, I have had to decrease the medications that I take for a chronic pain condition I have. Now, I am I struggling to exercise due to the increase in pain and my motivation has decreased some. I still push forward and exercise everyday, but I am hoping that by joining this challenge, I will regain some of the motivation that I have begun to lose. I will say...despite the pain, I do intend to always continue to exercise, but I would love to recapture the excitement of getting up each morning and being excited about it. Wish me luck! :)

Hi everyone!! Have to say first of all that I am actually a member of the 'I Hate Exercise' team but am now here because I really want to change that - not the team just the 'hate exercise' bit. I don't expect to change that much - just develop better habits. I am a grandmother of two and live in the UK. My 4yr old grandson is sick of waiting for me to catch him up when we are out to play or walking so I decided that I really have to do something about that. There is another tiny one and I hope that by the time he's running about I'll be more in shape. The bonus will be that hopefully I'll be around longer to watch them grow up if I get myself into a healthier lifestyle. emoticon

I don't think I introduced myself yet.

My name is Linda and I live in a nice quiet area in Northern Michigan. We raise chickens and turkeys in the summer, plus we put in a pretty good sized garden. I do some canning and lots of freezing of veggies, plus in the summer/fall we eat lots and lots of fresh veggies. I also enjoy eating all the things I shouldn't which is why I'm here. I joined SP in Sept 2007, and lost about 50 pounds. I tracked food and excercise daily to be successful. I put 20 pounds back on when I quit tracking, so I'm back! Spark People works if you use it! I am really looking forward to the boot camp challenge!

Hello everyone, I am Tina, and I am back in, I haven't been on much, been busy, and just feel when I am on here, I spend too much time reading and checking things out, I need to find a middle ground, and maybe I won't feel so overwhelmed. So lets go, lets do this, I wanted to know if there is anyone here in Laurel, MT that I can hang with and work out with? Please let me know.

Hello, I'm Dione. I joined sparkpeople a while back but didn't actually log in much. I'm ready to get motivated again and a bootcamp sound like a great way to begin. Two years ago I lost 20 lbs to make it to 140 by the time I turned 40 and then I promptly stopped doing everything that was working. I've gained back most of what I lost. My new goal is to make exercise just a part of the rest of my life. I look forward to sharing my experiences and reading about everyone else's.

Hi, I am Diane and this will be my first SparkPeople bootcamp. I joined SP in '06 but really didn't get serious until July '09. I am just over half-way towards my goal weight now and have no doubt that 2010 is going to be the best year ever.

Hello all you new faces! I have officially finished one day down. Many more days to go for me when I continue my progress. WOW, What an awesome website! I literally stumbled over it browsing youtube. I am excited to be here and even more excited to learn how to become a healthier person. Today I had no time to check my daily meaningless internet junk. I came across this site and I was stuck on/off ALL DAY LONG. I am ready for commitment :) QUESTION: How do I get my pic to the left to share publicly? Also I want one of those weight trackers I've been seeing w/ the backgrounds? Any hints? ?

Sheila from Cape Town, South Africa - hi everyone! It's the long summer holidays here so gym classes are cut. January is going to be busy for me (guests arriving & other commitments) so I'm relieved that there's a Boot Camp I can do at home on my own schedule & with some accountability.

Pity I'm not eligible for any of the prizes though :(

Hi, I'm Stacey and I am just returning from a Sparkbreak. I helped to take care of my mom as she battled lung cancer, and she passed away last month. I never want my kids to have to lose their mother early (she was only 55) if I can help it, so this is a great kick-start to vamping up my healthy life-long lifestyle!

I've been doing some 5ks off and on, and I really enjoy them, so anything that will help me out is a plus! Can't wait to start! (Wish it were starting sooner!)

- Stacey - GO TEAM!

Next Stage:
1. Lose 10 MORE lbs.
2. Do SOME activity (cardio/weights) 6 days/wk.
3. Track my food - even the bad choices.
4. Strength training at least 2 days a week.

Hey everyone! I'm Shelly, I just joined and am up for the challenge. This may be what I need to get me over this plateau I feel like I'm stuck on. I like the idea of everyday workouts. I have some that I currently do, but may just need a little different to mix up my workouts more. I'm ready to give this a try! WooHoo!
Good luck to all on their journey!

Hi, I'm Denise. This is my first SP boot camp and I'm excited. With the help of SP, I've lost almost 10 pounds in the last 2 months and have more to lose. I've done really well with my motivation, but I can always use more. I"m hoping to be a good member of the team, despite my January vacation!

Hi, everyone! I am not new to SP but, I am joining this team to try to motivate and keep on track with exercise. It is the one thing that I am just not consistant with. So I am hoping that this will motivate me to keep on track with exercise.

Hi! I'm kind of new to SP, I guess it's been a month now and it's been slow! I am hoping that joining this team will help with that exercise motivation! I have just gotten down the calorie tracking and keeping it reasonable and if I can incorporate exercise now I think I'll be on the right track! I look forward to this because it sounds like a lot of fun!

I did last years but had to drop due to a bit of a family emergency. Here's hoping this year has no obstacles I can't leap over!

Hey Spark Bootcampers. I did the NEW YEAR NEW YOU BOOTCAMP in Jan, 2009 and loved it. Anyone else out there that did last years bootcamp? It made such a difference in my strength and balance.

I lost 50 pounds with Spark people in 2009. AND, I am so ready to be under 300 FOREVER. This has been so humiliating to be this heavy. I wonder how I make it through the day BIGGER than an NFL player?? Not funny.

Just wanted to check in here as I have found that by putting myself out in the community, I am most successful.

I'm bringing my own tent and cot to this bootcamp. emoticon Paula in Colorado

Hi everyone! I'm Jacquie, Found SP in Sept 08 and lost over 10lbs before I got pregnant again with baby #3! She arrived in November and I'm gearing up to get going again! I'm pretty close to my prepregmancy wieght which is awesome. I LOVE the boot camps SP gives us and while I know I won't be going at it full blas with a 6 week old it will be good to have something to get me motivated and moving again!

Hello All,

I'm a part-time SPer and saw this as an opportunity to really put 100% into my SP/food tracking in the new year. Best wishes to all fellow body bootcampers.

:)

Hi my name is Ernestine, Tina is my nickname.

I've joined bootcamps before, but did not interact with the members much. I'm going to change that this time. Maybe, it will help me to actually achieve some success. I also start my online college class again on the 6th, so this is going to be a challenge for sure. I'm a 59 yr old, proud grandmother of 2 beautiful grandchildren (boy 10, girl 7)from Jersey

Blessing to all,
Tina emoticon

I'm Tricia...I've been a Sparker for almost 3 years, but I was gone for a LONG break, and I've just been back for a couple of months. I was part of the New You Bootcamp last year, and it was a great push for the start of my year...I'm hoping the same for this one! Good luck to everyone with their goals!!
