Hello everyone. I've been with SparkPeople for a little over a year now. Although I did spectacular to start with (lost 34 lbs.), I crashed and burned the second half of the year(regained most of what I lost). I let too much stress help de-rail me. So, I'm jumping back in with both feet. I refuse to quit!

Hi, I'm almost 52 and am excited about the boot camp. I just completed my first day of cardio and realized that I can't "jump." I had back surgery years ago and never regained the strength back in my legs. I improvised, though, and had a great time.

Hi CrystalFlaiz,

The same thing happened to me last year when I didn't stretch - I got a huge knot in my calf! There are a few things you can do with upper body, tho. Hope you feel better soon!

Hi Everyone!

I just want to start building healthier habits. I got burned out last year trying to do too much, then got busy again in work and life and fell completely off the wagon. I don't know if the boot camp will work for me, but I loved Nicole's videos and I have the equipment I need.

Mostly this year, it will be my challenge just to follow my Keep it Simple Strategy (KISS) with QuickTrack: fitness minutes, fruits/veggies, and fitness minutes. But I know it WILL make a DIFFERENCE.

Hi all. My name is Sharon and I am from Manitoba Canada. Even though I am 61 years old, I joined this team to "boot" myself in the rear! I have been lazy since the fall. I joined Boot camp to keep my interest in exercise up. I finished a 12 week training session at 24hour fitness, and I think this will be a good way to keep working on what I've been taught, plus add a few new moves.

I hope to lose the last 20 pounds and inches I've been hanging onto for the last 20 years. I've been doing pretty good for a woman of my age over the last 2 years and hope that I can reach my goals this year.

Hi , I'm Lisa from MN. Yes it has been like way below zero here for a week, talk about things that keep you from getting motivated and getting out of the house. I just hate the MN weather. This summer I was running 5K's with my friends and as the weather has changed I have been doing nothing, and those darn little pounds are creeping back up. I am excited about being a part of this boot camp group. I hope to connect with others and make some spark buddies as so far spark people has been a lonely experience for me.

Hello.I'm new here on SP from California.
Just attempted today's challenge. Only completed 4 minutes of Nichole's video and got a muscle pull in my left calve. Guess I should have wore my sneakers. I had done this workout before signing up on SP this Wednesday when I found it on YOUTUBE.Hope I get better soon I really wanted to get back into working out for the new year. emoticon

Hi! Just turned 50 and need something to keep me focused. I am hoping that this bootcamp will do that for me. I am a little overwhelmed with the site and how it works, but slow and steady. I did a 30 minute walk jog interval today indoors since it is so cold out! All the best to all of us on this journey. When I figure out how to add a goal tracker I will! I have about 20 lbs to take off that I have put back on after losing 40!

Good day, I joined in March but found I didn't take the time to learn my way around. I bought the spark book and decided it was time to get involved, since I am loosing my job on the 8th, will have more time to learn how this site works and to exercise! My goal is to drop 15 pounds in 16 weeks...a huge challenge since my meds make it difficult, as side effects include weight gain, as well as arthritis!

Hi my name is Ivy, 33 from oceanside, ca. I am excited to join this group and know from my past experience on Sparkpeople that encouragment and accountability REALLY helped me loose the weight the first time. Well...over this last 6 months about 15-20 pounds have reappeared and now its time to start over again. I've done it once and WILL do it again!!! HERE WE GO!!!! Hi! I've been on Spark for a few months now, but only used it sporatically. I'm very overweight after having my first baby, so my goal is to lose it all and maintain it before the next baby! I plan on following a lowcarb plan (it's best for me), working out every day using Spark exercises for the challenge + the Wii, and taking my vitamins and drinking a minimum of 8 glasses of water per day (hard for me!). I hope to meet a lot of new people and looking forward to supporting everyone here.
