Welcome back! I prefer to think of your past attempts as learning rather than 'failures' - we have to try things out before we find the winning strategy! I hope you succeed with your program - I've considered those, too, but not sure I could stick with it. Best of luck with your program - keep us posted!

emoticon Welcome Corrina! Glad to see you here. Lots of luck to you this time around. I hope you are able to lose the weight and keep it off and not have to resort to surgery. Not saying I'm against the surgery, it's just doing it without surgery I think is a good thing.

You'll find this group is quiet for now since BL isn't on tv at the moment, but once the next season starts, the chatter will pick up.

Welcome back. I had a hard time losing weight before I heard about Sparkpeople. The tools most helpful for me are the fitness and nutrition trackers. I lost my weight and have kept if off nearly 4 years now but I still track my exercise and food every day. It is so easy to overeat and tracking my food keeps me on track. Also, it's amazing what 30 minutes of exercise 3-4 days a week will do for you. I was 48 when I started and it took me 18 months to lose 30 lbs. because I gained my weight exercising 4-5 days a week. My problem was calorie intake. I guess my point is, you can lose weight in your 40's and keep it off. Be patient and don't give up. It will happen.
