Hello to All, My name is Robin and I'm currently trying to get back to focusing on my health. Recently had surgery about 1 month ago and am on short term disability from work. Hoping this site will give me support. I had lost 23 lbs but had problems with an injury hence the surgery. So I gained back some. Now that the problem is fixed hoping I can regain my focus and get back on track. emoticon

I'm striving for consistency - at least 10 minutes Every Day. It seems that when I take a day off it becomes another day and then another. I'm planning on 2 days per week of just 10 minutes and 5 days per week of more than 10 minutes of exercise.

Hi everyone! Trying to get my activity level up per day to lose the weight I have gained from when I hurt my back last summer. I was out of commission for quite some time and have been gaining weight nonstop ever since. I've lost 35lbs with SP quite a few years ago, and I know I can do it again - it's just a lot harder this time. I can't do the exercises I used to be able to do, and have to do safe, effective exercise. I find if I keep moving consistently, I notice changes in my body - hence the reason I joined this challenge.

Hello there. I am John and I am trying to lose weight. My new doctor has taken a very proactive role in trying to reach my goals. I have been on an off Spark for a couple of years. I am taking things one day at a time. I have been watching my food intake for the last couple of weeks. I thought it was a good time to add exercise to my routine.

Hi! I am 24 years old and looking to change my lifestyle. I have always had problems with weight and body issues. However, I hope that SparkPeople is able to help me lose the weight but also help me get more healthy in other areas of my life as well. I am trying to lose 45 pounds by October but I am also trying to change by daily life and get my body used to moving more. I am already working on my third week with this program and so far it seems to be a really good fit. I am excited about these next few months and hope that this is the year that I start living the way I want to!

Hi! I have been on and off SparkPeople a few times in the past year. This time, I decided to join some forums and try to interact with others because I don't want to lose the momentum. I love this challenge - I always tell myself I need to do 30 minutes or 2 miles and it seems so daunting. I CAN do 10 minutes! I'm going to do it now :)

I went back to SparkPeople a little over a year ago and for awhile had a pretty regular exercise routine. We decided in October to sell our house and move to another state, plus my husband had back surgery in December. We moved into our new house in Oregon on February 13 and I'm just now getting to the point where I feel I can try to get back to a regular exercise routine. The problem is .... somewhere along the line I lost my motivation. So ... I joined this team and also am participating in the BLC26 12 week challenge team. Hopefully by the time I'm done I'll have gotten back some of what seems to have disappeared. emoticon

Hi!

Hi, I'm Sonja and I joined spark people a few days ago. I have a lot of weight to lose, and not a very good track record of sticking to good habits. I am in love with this site! I know I can do it if I just focus on healthy activities instead of on how far I have to go or what I can't eat. My goal is to get healthy this year- the weight loss will follow. So one thing I need to do is start to exercise. This is a perfect team for me:) I have worked out 2x this week and still have a long way to go...but it's a start.

I joined this challenge so I could get myself back into a routine. I really let myself slack off for the last 9 months, and I can feel it! Sitting in front of a desk all day doesn't help, so if I just do at least 10 minutes on my lunch break, I'm starting a great habit.

Hi All,
I actually started challenging myself at the end of February, caught the superbug, then restarted two weeks later. I have been consistently working out 5-6 days/week since then, so I thought I can finally join a team, now that I know I can actually do it. I have felt the difference, and am already over the "major pain" period associated with using long-dormant muscles (Thank YOU JESUS!!!!). I have been doing mainly weight-training with a warmup on either a treadmill or elliptical, but I aim to get back to either Zumba or Hip Hop ABS or some other aerobic activity to keep my metabolism going. I will try to keep up with this SPTeam, but I have so many other things, I may only be able to check in occasionally.

Hi. Just joined this challenge after having already decided to challenge myself to do 10 minutes of exercise a day on which I am on Day 19. Then I found this official challenge which I am hoping will keep me of the straight and narrow, consistency in exercising is not my strong point. I have arthritic joints so sometimes exercising can be difficult and when they get bad then I have to stop exercising for a while until they recover. I hope that doesn't happen for the duration of this challenge though. I do a combination of strength training and cardio exercises along with some walking.

Hi! I just joined spark as I have already lost 113 lbs but still want to loose another 10 and I just haven't been able to get it done with friends and family. I guess I just need a little extra push! I have been doing good with going to the gym 3 days a week and spending an hour of half cardio and half strength training, but on days that I don't go I just do some walking so I need a little extra there, so I am hoping this challenge will help me get there! Looking forward to this challenge and getting everything I can out of life!

Hi, my name is Karyn and joined this team on April 6, but I do not think that I introduced myself. I have come back to SparkPeople to improve my overall health. I had joined in 2010, learned how to eat balanced meals and because of time I took the lessons learned and left. Now I need a truly balance life - and that includes consistent excercis. I can barely walk from the house to the mailbox due to inactivity, arthritis, neuropathy and other health issues. So I want an slow start - that's why I joined this group - 10 minutes at a time. During cardiac rehap (following quadruple by-pass) they started with 5 minutes at a time, two times a day. emoticon

H I did the 12 minute low impact video today, feels good. I also found more 10 minute workout video on my On Demand cable TV my goal is to do these before going to work in the mornings

Hi, I am Rozie...Need a little EXTRA motivation to do my yoga everyday for 15 min. I walk an hour a day usually but need the yoga for general fitness for body and mind.
