Hi Everyone,

I joined this challenge and the Couch to 5 challenge. I belong to a gym but something always comes up and I can't get there and I wind up not doing any physical activity that day. I have decided that if I can't get to the gym I certainly can fit in some time at home for physical fitness. I have gained 50 pounds and feel very uncomfortable at this weight. I do not believe in any miracle diets and want to make a lifestyle change of eating healthy and excercising regularly. I am not looking to have a body like when I was 30 (I'm 52 now) but I certainly want to be more fit and thinner than I am now.

Hi my name is Danie (short for Danielle). I joined this challenge so that I'd have some kind of focused exercise to do for 28 days. I know it'll help my clothes fit better, increase my stamina and energy, and help my husband feel connected to my workouts too - he'll be doing the videos with me every morning!

My husband and I have been together for 16 years, but only married since August 2010. We're both 30 years old, so we are definitely high school sweethearts! No kids or plans for any yet, but we are planning on buying a house this year, as long as there aren't any layoffs at either of our jobs. Keep your fingers and toes crossed for us!

OK, time to do the first video and eat a healthy breakfast!

Hi all - giving this a shot AGAIN! I'm also doing the Virtual 5K training walking/jogging. I have vacation to Yellowstone in 7 weeks and don't want to be wheezing while walking up the trails from the waterfalls.

So I want to strengthen my legs and abs for walking around with a backpack and even though I've started this program before I want to see it all the way through and establish new habits to incorporate into my daily life.

Hello I joined this challenge to gain motivation, accountability and to get myself moving I am 43, married and have 2 beautiful little girls. I don't want them to join me on the weight roller coaster ride that is my life. I want to teach them the right way to be healthy and can only do that.... if I am doing it for me.

Hi, my name is Jeff. I've been doing pretty well on Spark, but I've begun to notice a slowdown in my weight loss. No doubt that part of it is muscle gain slowing the numbers, but my exercise can be sporadic when I super busy (and it's the busy season for me). I want to jump start my loss and get back to my norm of 2 pounds per week,

Hello, my name is Eva I'm a mom of two girls. I recently went back to school, I hadn't weighted myself in over a year. As I am interning at the hospital I finally has a chance to weigh myself I realized I was 15lbs over my "normal" weight. I joining in hopes to get back to my normal weight. I just ran my first 5K and that was great.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Keta and I am just joining the team today because I am ready to get myself back in shape. I recently saw a video of myself with some friends playing "Just Dance 2" on the Wii and I must say that I was not please with the shape I was in, especially around my core. But the game is totally awesome and it really makes you sweat. But I am also a yo-yo fitness person. I go for awhile and then I quit. I have gained back most of the weight that I lost last month so joining this team will make me stay focused. So day is week 1 day 1 and I had planned to try out the Wii Zumba game today for my cardio. It is my first time playing so I will let you guys know how it goes.

Hi, my name is Mary Ann and I live in Rochester, NY. I joined the Bootcamp Challenge to add some intensity to the walking I'd doing every day. I try to get to zumba once or twice a week, but have had trouble lately making that happen.

My main reason for joining is that I'm at a plateau. I'm good with keeping up with my food, but for some reason, no matter what exercise I do, I have been going up and down for the last few pounds. If I could lose another 4 pounds I would be at my lowes weight in over 15 years so I'm really motivated to try and find a way to get there. It's ONLY 4 pounds!!! I'm sure this challenge will help me get there. That is my goal, to get these 4 pounds off by the end of this challenge. If it's more, I'll be thrilled, but I will be very happy with just the 4. It's a major goal for me, and will be a total of 26.6 pounds.

You can't have results and excuses at the same time!

I am stronger than the donut!!

My name is Shirley and I am excited about the challenge and getting back to Sparkpeople. I like all that it offers but somehow I start with a huge bang and finish with a loud flop. This is a repeated behavior that I don't like. I plan to be more accountable by getting some close friends to join too. Also, I have a close friend who will become my workout partner. I'm on day 2 of the challenge and I feel determined. If I commit to journalising online daily, I highly believe that I will be successful. I plan to place this information as a schedule on my phone that I must meet. In order for me to be successful, I must have lots of strategies to stay motivated. I plan to meet every goal of the challenge because it has been said that you can repeat a habit for 21 days it highly probable that it can become a lifestyle!!! emoticon

Hello, my name is Clarissa and I am 21, soon to be 22, years old. I have used SparkPeople before and stuck to it for a while but then i ended up gaining everything plus more back... This time I plan on doing it right and stick with it for life. I want to have a healthy life style with my fiance and feel better about myself. Right now I am at my heaviest ever!!! I weigh 262 pounds and plan on losing 120 pounds and keeping it off for good!! My fiance and I plan on getting married on Feb 18, 2012 so i have a little less than a year to lose weight and be healthier on my wedding day. Im Brandy, I want to make some life changes, I will be thirty in Oct. I tend to lose myself in my work and school it has taken a toll on me.

I moved out of the city 2 yrs ago in April and I have noticed that my energy, endurance as decreased, along with abilty to concentrate. I was very active and walked 3 miles to and from work when I lived in the city and now living in Maine all I do is drive.

I want to look my best and cont to feel my best...Im a nurse and need to so I can give my best. I have a short term goal to lose 10 lbs by April 15th and a long term goal of 35 lbs by my birthday in Oct.

Hello, I'm starting my weight loss journey up again. In May 2009 I dropped below 134lbs and kept it off until October 2010 when major changes came to my life. My boyfriend got a job in August in Knoxville, TN while I'm still in Tampa, FL. I decided to stay to finish college at the University of South Florida to get my bachelor's in Biomedical Sciences. In 3 days I will be 25, 1/4 century old, and I'm starting to realize I need to make my ideal weight of 125lbs a reality this year. I'm also going to take classes online during the summer for my personal training license so I need to get in better shape so my potential customers know my methods work. I gain weight easily and have a hard time losing it, plus with taking 16 credit hours I don't have a whole lot of time to exercise for long periods of time. I'm hoping this time works!

Hello! I've been back to exercise and nutrition tracking for about a week and a half now, and thought I'd join this challenge to give my body and my routine a jump start. I'm 30 years old, and I have 2 kids (three if you count my husband, who's often just a big kid!), ages 3 and 5. I find it hard to get exercise into my day with the little guy at home, especially in the winter when we can't go for walks. Definitely looking forward to the spring, and hoping for a treadmill by next winter!

Hello! I joined this challenge today. I have been fighting with my weight and attitude about weight since I was in high school. I am now 30 and have decided that enough is enough. I want to lose the weight and keep it off for good. I am at the heaviest I have ever been and I am tired of being tired and out of shape. I have determined that I am going to run Dam to Dam which is a 20K in Des Moines on June 4 and so I am using that as a motivator to lose weight and get in shape. My goal is to lose 50 pounds by July and 80-100 pounds overall depending on what I can maintain. My starting weight is 225 so wish me luck and pray hard that I can keep this up. Good luck to all of you and I will keep you in my prayers as well. :)

Hey everybody...I am a teacher too, and have used my schedule as an excuse to not eat right or exercise for long enough. There are enough hours in the day to take care of myself and I am claiming them now.

Working toward a healthier, fit me by the summer. My goal is to be back at 15% or less body fat. So far I am still settling back into the groove of a regular workout routine. I am still trying to get consistent with Spark on logging everything day to day. I finally have the nutrition and fitness logging routines down. Now I just need to remember the rest. Soon it will become second nature.

My biggest challenge is the nutrition part. I still fall short on some categories... mainly calories and protein... then over on others... carbs especially. I need to get better at planning instead of eat first check later...

I also know I bust my butt at the gym, but I am not sure how accurate my HRM vs Gym equipment vs Spark is with calories burned... but its a learning process.

Trying to re-motivate and re-focus on my weight loss goals. I've tried off and on for a couple years to make some progress but I get frustrated and life gets in the way. I'm trying to reprioritize and make more time for me, something I'm not very good at doing. This looked like a good way to get started - 22 days to make a habit is what I've read so a 28 day plan seems like a good habit forming idea!

I joined this team because I noticed it on the spark pages of people I have been conversing with. They seem to be about the same size, age, and fitness level as I am, so I figured it was doable. I need a little more structure to my workouts, and something new to keep me from getting bored.

Hi everyone!
I joined the team to lose and get my weight down to what it was before when I got married. I joined SP to lose the weight for my wedding and I was successful and I was down to the weight I wanted to be at and that was ideal for my body type. Now that I've been married almost two years, the weight has packed back on with a vengeance and I'm even heavier than when I started to lose weight for the wedding. Now I'm back to lose it for me and my health and well-being. I want to be around for a long time and grow old with my husband.

My name is Sheri. I joined this goal to help kickstart my exercise. I HATE to exercise, but I know that without it, all the healthy eating in the world will only get me so far.

So, here I am. The sad thing is that due to my work schedule, I will not be able to workout everyday that the challege states. OH well, I'll just do what I can.

Hello everyone. My name is Kasee. I'm 26 years old and I weigh 243 lbs. emoticon I am about 13 months into my weight loss journey and I have lost 73 lbs so far. emoticon I am part of a Biggest Loser type weight loss group. Hi, My name is Paula. I joined SP on 2/15. I just started 5k walk and am in week 2. I came across this Team and decided i wanted to try the 28 day program so that I can make it a daily routine. I don't have a lot to lose, but I do want to get back in shape. It's getting to the point that I have no strength.
