moring girls welcome kay

well finally got some relief from the pain in my leg and back yippee lol

dr changed the meds to naproxen 500 mg two a day and have been taking them since thursday what a difference in the leg and back

maybe tomorrow l can get in some exercise?

so nice not to have the awful pain

going to drs tomorrow for results of cat scan?

see what the verdict is?

Hi everyone,
I just joined this team. I've been a member of SP for a year now and I've lost 50 pds and want to lose another 30. I was originally with BLC and with a certain group of amazing people and we transferred as a group over here.
I'm still with that group and love it. I'm just trying to expand my network here and get to know others.
I'm definately an emotional eater and still battle it everyday.
So I thought this would be the perfect site. I'm hoping this is your main posting site, if not if you could let me know so I can check in periodically and get to know you.

I could use a buddy. I just posted on the introduce myself thread, and am doing something very different to even post on here. different because I am so used to doing this by myself. The binge-eating happens when I am alone (which is alot) luckily my dog isn't fat, too.

I could really use a buddy!! I can't seem to get it under control. I was down to 180ish in November before my Mom died and my 14 year old brother moved in. Now I'm almost 210. I know what to do, I just can't find the motivation to do it!!!

Wow Emilyk77, I can totally identify with what you wrote.

I have 60 pounds to lose; struggle with binge eating and not exercising.

the negative self talk too is a huge issue for me. Sounds like we are in the right place!

Life expectancy would grow by leaps and bounds if green vegetables smelled as good as bacon.

Hi everyone!

I am looking for a buddy for motivation, exchanging ideas, and helping with accountability.

I struggle with emotional eating and with staying motivated to exercise. Right now I am also stuggling with the negative self-talk and would like to improve my self-image.

I have about 50 pounds to lose and would like to find someone on here who has about the same amount of weight to lose. Although at this point, just having a buddy would do wonders for my quest for healthy living.

Thanks for reading my post and I hope to find some buddies real soon.

Hi Amy, I have to lose a lot of weight. I would love to lose 70 pounds, and would look and feel better if I did. My computer is running very slow, that is a big problem, but I will try.

Hi, I am having some difficulty getting around this site because of a very slow response between pages.
I have solicited help and run spy ware and mal ware but still am running very slow. It has taken me 45 mins. since I logged on just to enter my food....frustration.
I hope to be able to move more quickly at some point, as this is a great program.

Hi I am new here I have been on the sparks site before. An need help to get me motivated. I am 46 mother of five always on the go.So I really never sit down to make good choices to eat for myself.I love to eat for no reason at all. I need to loose at least 40lbs all together. I have recently just started SP again. I have had SP friends, but never a buddy. I think having a buddy would be fun and would help me.

What am I looking for? Good question...

I would like someone that has about 70 pounds to still lose. That is what I want to lose and we could do it together. I lost about 50 pounds prior to SP, but still have a ways to go.

I would love to have someone to chat with. I like that they added that! I had SP friends before and it took a long time get to know them. I don't know when I will be on the computer for sure. I am on a lot right now. I am not working. We could make arrangements to "meet" occasionally in the chat.

Hey GBABE, it's a difficult thing to find ourselves back in a situation with the stress eat cycle. An old familiar 'friend'? Think back to the good habits you created that assisted you in your weight loss in the past. How did you learn to handle it then. Maybe by retracing some of those steps you may find it a little easier to handle the stressors you are experiencing now. A move is always a big stressor and starting a new job! And children aren't as adaptable as we like to think. Girl, you have a lot to deal with. Maybe a close friend (you mentioned that you ahve friends nearby) could act as a sounding board- listening, telling you what you need to hear and giving you a shoulder to cry on when you need support. If you need a distant buddy sign me up!

Ok, I had a great Buddy last year, but she's strayed. I have, also, which is why I'm back looking for a new Buddy. I made a big move, new job, & am having a serious problem with one of my children. I have been stuffing my face mostly from stress, but also from boredom, & am eating at night in bed again. That was the problem I had in the first place.I received all the help I needed from here before, & I'm reaching out to you all again. I'm small-framed, so the 18 lbs, I've gained back is really affecting the health problems I already have. Any help & encouragement would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you so much...Gina

Hi everyone! I've been active on sparkpeople for a couple months and it has been so helpful for me losing weight. I think having a few message boards to check in with would be great for me to continue with my healthy lifestyle and this looked like a good one!! I've been an emotional eater for a long time, and although I've been doing great lately, I know there will be hard times where I'll need to vent and have someplace to go. good morning all

well had a bad arthritis day yesterday so much pain from it

l have decided to stop taking the pain pills the dr gave me they aren;t working anyway so why take them

this morning trying a new way getting back into my exercise to see if that will make a difference and put back on my magnetic bracelets have forgotten to wear them lately

see if that helps better than pills?

can;t get any worse right?

the pain was so bad yesterday was crying shocked my hubby

was using heat pad ice packs and A535 all day and nothing helped?

still have pain today but can live with it

got 5 min on treadmill and 5 min on stat bike

Have you been to the Dr.? I used to go to the gym and reward myself by ending my session in the hot tub. I had a "corporate" membership. Now I have no gym membership but I have no excuse not to walk in the morning. The area here is nice. Try downloading a podcast or recording your favorite music. That has worked for me in the past to ride my bicycle while listening to my ipod.

Hi,

I just started a few days ago. Actually I haven't yet really started a program. I am disappointed in myself. I am here at my mothers house as she was sent ho me from the skilled nursing facility. Tomorrow I will try to get my car registered so I can take my new kayak out on the lake. I am feeding my mother vegetables and fruit and eating sub sandwiches etc. in secret. Tomorrow afternoon I will go shopping and try harder to eat more sensibly. Good luck to everyone.

HI. I am 39 and really wanted to lose some weight before I turned 40 which is in 8 months. If I could lose 20-30 pounds I would be really happy. I have started walking and kept up with Leslie Sansone walking at least every other day. I weigh 245 and want to weigh 170 for my first weight loss goal. Then I want to lose another 20 pounds to be what I was before my pregnancy about four years ago. It will be hard because most of this weight is the result of medications however I go through brownies and potato chips in a couple of days. It is really hard for me not to eat when I am bored. I stay at home with my daughter and I am alone at night most nights because I share custody of my daughter with my parents because my medications make me so tired so I get bored easily. I am looking forward to meeting a new buddy.

Hi. I'm Erin, and I live in Akron, OH. I have type 2 diabetes and have recently had to start taking insulin because the medicine and diet alone hasn't been working.

I am encourged-this last week since starting insulin I have had better self-control and willpower than ever before. I even refused dessert when I went out, found the healthiest option I could on the menu, and resisted the temptation of late-night snacking.

But I need help to get motivated to do some physical activity. I am just...never excited about moving my body. I try to get motivated-but I end up feeling discouraged and don't want to try.
