WELCOME....you have alot on your plate but realizing you have a problem with food is going to take one of the layers of stress off your mind. Also by learning to control, tame, beat the emotional eating monster you will also be showing your 20mo old child how to be healthier so that there isn't that never ending cycle of emotional eating being past down the generations. You are more on top of things than you might think. Stick with us kiddo and you will meet your goal in being healthier and fitter.

It is harder to tear down a wall than it is to build one.

Greatness is not achieved by never failing but by how many times we get back up after falling.

Hi emoticon & emoticon to the team.You will find alot of support here.I can so relate to your stress.I am an older mom I am 41 and I have two little ones a two year old and a 6 week old.along with other stresses like financial since my hubby has been laid off since December.So I so get things you are going through.You will make it.I know I also before I know it am grabbing the junk food and shoving it in my mouth without even realizing it sometimes.Just don't give up!!!!!You will make it everyone here is here to support you.

Hi,

Please forgive me, but I must give you advice... I know you like the name lovely Disaster but I would encourage you to change it. Because as of this moment you are inching step by step away from disaster and into success. You don't have to do it all at once. Just bit by bit. I love the lovely part that's great. think about naming yourself for what you wish to become.

and eat your fruit and drink your water. Wonderful things happen when you do that. Get the junk food out of the house so all you have is fruit, vegies and water for snacking.

and go for a walk. Take the baby and go for a walk (if it's a good temperate day...) walking solves depression getting a little sun solves depression and removing yourself from the stressful spot can help too.

It's a lot of advice there. I am advicy I just can't help it.

Welcome to the emotional eaters team. You will get a lot of support, advice and encouragement here. Post us often. We will listen and help pick you up when you mess up and pat you on the back when you succeed. A valuable tool is the nutrition tracker. You will find it under the my tools tab. It will show your calories, fat, carbs and protein. Drink 8 glasses of water a day and get 30 grams of fiber with the water a day. Exercise 30 min. a day. Spark mail me if you need any help. Check out my spark page. Maybe it will inspire you.

thought that I'd introduce myself. I'm 23 and mother to a 20 month old.. which leads to a lot of stress. I also suffer from (lets call it a generic name, because it's so much more in-depth then that) depression... which leads to even MORE stress. Then we're struggling with money and paying our bills and getting food and diapers... which leads to a THIRD layer of stress. This leads to fighting with my boyfriend... which leads to a FOURTH layer of stress. I am also overweight (or else I wouldn't be here)... which leads to a FIFTH layer of stress.
I'm an emotional eater (obviously) who eats because I just get it in my mind that I want something, when I get depressed, when I get stressed, when I am bored... Basically whenever I want to I do without even thinking about the repercussions.

So that's me. Hello.
