If you want to satisfy your chocolate cravings try jello sugar free, fat free chocolate pudding. It is wonderful. I also love salty stuff. But be careful, it can cause you to retain water. If you stay away from salt, I find that craving goes away. Its went its reintroduced in a snack form ie: pretzels or salty nibbles I go nuts again. So those foods I keep out of the house.

*********WELCOME*********** It is ok to crave just don't cave too often. I also suffer from Salty and Sweet most craving I can stop by, ready for this, eating Cheddar cheese slices and dill pickles. Stop them dead. But when I cannot get to the frig I keep Salty and Sweet Almond Granola bars in my purse and glovebox. Good luck...we will be seeing lots I hope.

It is harder to tear down a wall than it is to build one.

Definitely plan into your day for your sweet and salty snacks. I have a small piece of chocolate every day, so I don't crave sweets all the time, because I know I can have some. As far as salty, I usually snack on nuts or seeds in the afternoon, they usually help take care of my salty cravings. Sometimes I'll have some popcorn in the evenings if I really want a salty snack. I just make sure I have enough calories and track it all.

Snacks planned through the day help prevent cravings for me also. And I chew tons of sugarfree gum. It really helps me.

Whey is high in protein. It may or may not fit into your plan based on the calories. In spark ANYTHING can fit if you plan for it and count the calories. for me restricting food is dangerous. It makes the craving. For chocolate craving I use Dark Chocolate. If I have some 2 or 3 times a week. I don't crave at all ever. In fact I haven't had any in a while and I am about due.

I think you might want to track your sodium intake on spark. You might be low in potassium That will make you crave salt. And for the sweets you might want to add fruit.

Definitely plan your snacks and meals. I was not so good at doing this at first but being organized helps a GREAT deal. As far as the Whey goes. Do a search for articles on that. I sometimes ad Protein powder to my smoothies when I don't get my protein in for the day. (I am not a big meat eater)

I agree, plan for your snacks so they're included in your daily nutritional intake...it helps keep your cravings at bay while staying within your calorie range.

hi there! i'm new here. i just want to confess that sometimes when i'm tired or bored i tend to crave for salty or sweet foods, depending on my mood. last night, i was tired from work, i got myself a banana shake with choco whey just to satisfy my choco craving. i don't even know if it's ok. is whey powder bad for weight loss?

i just don't know what to do with my cravings...
