join the crowd. Regarding rewards. The way I look at it is when I look in the mirror or on the scale that is the reward. Mashed potatos, Hot fudge sundays and other stuff got me in the mess that I am in now. You really don't have as much weight to lose. YOU CAN DO IT...
FOR ME WHEN PUT ON MY SIZE M TOPS AND PANTS AFTER SIZE 2X (22-24) THAT IS MY REWARD. YOU CAN DO IT. JUST CHANGE THE WAY YOU THINK. DRINK LOTS OF WATER BEFORE YOU EAT. THINK FAT IS OUT AND THIN IS IN. BECAUSE IT IS.

WE ARE ALL HERE FOR YOU, YOU JUST NEED TO KEEP POSTING. LIKE YOU SAID IN YOUR WORDS: . NO EXCUSES THIS TIME, NO REALLY. BE THE WORDS YOU SAY. SAY THE WORDS YOU MEAN. emoticon

Hi everyone! I was briefly a member of SparkPeople more than two years ago... and I chose to let some minor upheaval in my life dissolve my resolve. But I'm back, and I'm committed to improving my life and my relationship with food one day and one mouthful at a time.

I am a TOTAL emotional eater. Sometimes it feels like the only way I know how to comfort myself and my crazy anxiety about my life. Ironic that a perfectionist in every other area of her life would allow herself to eat a constant stream of fattening junk in the name of feeling better about herself! But there you go.

I am a teacher, and my husband is currently out of a job, so money is tight. But I was hoping that one of the things I would learn from this group are some ways you all have found to "reward" yourself that DON'T involve either a lot of money or a hot-fudge sundae from McDonalds. Or mashed potatoes. Oh, mashed potatoes.... sigh.

Anyway, I'm happy to be here. Thanks in advance for your support! :-)
