Visualization and deep breathing are my best buddies!

I find breathing mediation very helpful, even just 10 breaths helps out a lot. In the beginning I used to stress out because I could not get mind to be "quiet" but the mind is always going to work, I just don't get sucked into the thoughts and let it do what its going to do. Exercise also helps out, or reaching out to a friend. I find having a positive support circle is crucial for my health. I could not make it without a belief in a power greater than myself and my support. I have to take actions everyday in order to ensure I don't give into the food. Its very hard, I often fail, but I get up everyday and try, try again. One of these days I will not have to try so hard because it will become my nature, with a lot of daily hard work. Best wishes in finding what helps you "chill" :)

Do not stop enjoying the wonders of life despite the inevitable hurting that impairs our soul. Hence, it does not make you less of a person when you weep in tears and are in distress. Nonetheless, learn to withstand the stings of time; rise on your feet for no one can ever bring back the soul in you and the beauty of life except you, and you and you."

Time to chill is right! Fortunately for me (unfortunately for my weight loss/exercise plan) my new position keeps me 'hopping'...Late nites at work and an extremely busy daytime schedule mean that I am not always eating enough and have been missing my zumba...I am, however, getting quite a bit of fast paced walking in at work!

Finding balance is a real help for me - in other words, CHILLIN' really helps me to avoid overeating and PLANNING is another one. Take care of yourself and it will help you.

I have been a sparkpeople member since Nov. 2009, and have learned a lot, but have not gotten the job done yet! I choose to handle stress by eating....not the smartest move. I have decided to try to chill and find ways to keep myself from feeling overwhelmed. Stay calm. Stay motivated. Stay cool.

You always have time for that which you place first.
