Hi!
I live in South Korea. My goal is to lose 60 pounds throughout this year. This weight didn't come on all at once, but I'm determined that it WILL come off. I'm giving myself plenty of time to do it. This is my first day at Sparkpeople.com. I've NEVER posted on message boards before, but I am determined that I must step out of my comfort zone if I want to be successful. What type of exercise do you do? Well, isn't that a loaded question? I'm not very faithful with it, but I walk, use an elliptical, and use Wii Fit when I'm motivated.

How long have you been in this occupation? 2 months. Anyone know of districts hiring in Oregon, Western Washington, or Middle Tennessee? I'd really like to change this occupation. Really.

Hello all! My name is Jennifer and I live in central Florida. My goals would be to loose weight, get in shape, and set a good example for my children and my students. I have been on sparkpeople for 3 days...it is so addictive!

From the group, I will just be looking for tips, guidance, and the reassurance that I am not doing this whole thing alone.

I love to read, bake, watch movies, shop, and sit around a bog table with all of my friends. I like to walk/jog and aerobics.

I have been a teacher for 13 years, but I will be working as a consultant in a school this year. I am excited and nervous.

Hello, I'm PN7 and live in Houston, Texas. I plan to lose 40 pounds and wish to acquire a healthier lifestyle!

I have just now joined SparkPeople and I am excited over meeting others with which to share common goals and support.

I am a reading teacher with a passion for teaching.I have been a teacher for over 25 years! I love histroical fiction, gardening, animals (I have a boxer and german shepherd mix), gourmet cooking (when I have the time), primitive and folk art, jewelry, musicals, and foreign langugaes!

I am married with a 20-year-old son in college! If only I could be as slim as my husband and son, sigh!

I walk, approach the stationery bike at times (This must change!!!), and need to return to the gym on a regular basis.

I am looking for partners eager to embark on the journey to weight loss and and a healthy lifestyle! emoticon

Goals: lose weight and buff up (doing P90X daily, and also running a lot in prep for San Francisco Half Mara end of July)

How long on SP?: first day

Group: I love to see/read stories of success! I hope to be one someday!

Hobbies: baseball (I coach our HS team, older son pitches in college and soph son is on his way), traveling overseas, reading books set in India, and other stuff! The world is an amazing place!

Exercise: P90X, running, elliptical (1-2 hours per day - at least now that school's out!).

Job: Teacher with DoDDS in Seoul, Korea (Seoul American Schools). Been over here since '96, with trips back home every summer. First teaching job was at the King Co. Juvenile Detention facility in Seattle.

Your goals: To lose 50 lbs and not get so winded when walking back and forth between buildings!

How long have you been on spark people: Um 3 days?

What you need from the group to be successful: LOTS OF SUPPORT! Oh, and prodding and talking with me.

Hobbies: Computers

What type of exercise do you do? Right now it is the exercise bike. I've had torn rotor cups (shoulders) and bad knees so I have to take things easy so not to aggravate them.

Occupation: Elementary Teacher (teaching computers to the entire kindergarten through 5th grade each week)

How long have you been in this occupation? I've been a teacher for 16 years. Started teaching, took 10 years off to raise kids then have been back in the saddle again.

I do hope this group is active, especially since it's summertime! A bit of a rest I hope for y'all. Take care and keep cool! Record highs here, in the 100's!! Wish that would melt the pounds off just standing and sweating. Nice fantasy, huh?
