Hi, my name is Kristi and I am one of the "older" BSB fans. I started liking them in 1999 when I was checking what my teenagers were listening to, to make sure I approved. After listening to the songs, I was hooked!
Anyway, I've been a member of SparkPeople off and on for a few years, but never really stuck with it. After seeing pictures of myself at my daughter's wedding in May, I decided I had to do SOMETHING that I could stick with! I decided to use SparkPeople's menu plans instead of making up my own meals, and this is what finally worked! I'm losing slowly, but consistently. Since May 16th, I have lost 12.4 lbs. But the best part is that I'm not starving all the time like I have with other diets, and I'm enjoying the meals. Plus I'm eating SO much healthier! My husband and I do not refer to it as a diet, but a healthy eating plan. I really feel like this is something I will stay with!

Hey Tyisha I'm Charlotte welcome back! Isn't Zumba the best ever? It really works you out and gets you moving. I encourage you to definately try to eat more and eat smaller portions. Make sure to incorporate veggies in every meal, it will help fill you up without a whole lot of extra calories. Try looking under the health conditions tab to see if you can maybe find something to help with your migranes.

Hello everyone. I thought I introduced myself but I guess I didn't. My name is TyIsha. I am 30 years old. I have met some of you lovely people on the cruise and some of you I haven't had the pleasure yet. I am still working towards my goal of losing weight and I have not and will not given up. I have NEVER been the type to like working out but I can hold my own when I push myself. Lately I have found myself enjoying working out and that's only because I have given in to the Zumba hype lol. It really is all that they claim it is. One of my friends had Zumba Exhilarate and let me borrow it and I have completely fallen in love with it. My main obstacle is overcoming almost daily migraines that try to keep me from working out. I have finally found something that I love now I just have to find overcome the migraines.

Oh and another thing is that I don't eat right. I have a terrible habit of only eating one meal a day so I have to train myself to eat more often throughout the day. Normally its because I don't feel good and end up sleeping alot. I have to get more nutrients in my body so that when I start working out more my body has more fuel. If you have any ideas or suggestions please feel free to let me know. Until then, lets do this!

Hi everyone, I'm Silvia and I'm from Barcelona (Spain). I've decided that I want to change my eating habits for better and loose a little weight on the way, and what's more important learn how to maintain my healthy weight once I reach it. I'm a BSB fan since I was 12 and I'm 27 so I've been following them for more than half of my life emoticon . I'm going to the NKOTBSB concert in Orlando and I also will be on the next BSB cruise, so I have the perfect motivation to get in shape emoticon

Hi Sandi,
Welcome! So glad to have you. I'm Charlotte and I'm the team leader! Now about that motivation, lol, I think you have already taken a very good first step following Danny on twitter is a wonderful start. I have literally started having his tweets sent straight to my phone because he is such a good motivator, he is truely inspiring and he makes you wanna get out there and better yourself. I have also found starting off slow with excercise and building yourself up really helps. For instance I personally like to exercise it's enjoyable but I'm very lazy so even though I find it fun I still dread doing it, especially cardio. So what I had to do was start with 30 minutes and work myself up to 45 minutes and I hope to be able to do 60 minutes soon. However don't make a mistake and get to comfortable after a week of getting started you should really start pushing yourself more. Another tactic I had to use to combat my lazyness was I had to psych myself out and literally make it life or death. Like if I'm ever feeling like I don't wanna go today and I know I'm just being plain lazy and I really need to I think about the fact that I have Prediabetes or the fact that I can barely run in the backyard with my little brother. I know its a little extreme but it works for me. Sorry for being so long winded but if you have any questions let me know and again, welcome to the team!

Hey all!!!!

I'm Sandi-34 year old mother of 3, wife to the most amazing man and have been a BH since I was around 12 and a BSB fan since Nick was too young for me to drool over! :)

I started my weight loss journey January 1st 2008, just a month and a half after I got to see NKOTB in concert. Since then I have lost 55+ lbs and kept it off. I'm working on the last 13, and the goal is to have those gone by the time my hubby and I take our second trip to Jamaica in October!

I will be going with 3 of my girl friends to Chicago in June to see NKOTBSB!!!!! I'm SO excited!!!! I've never been on the cruise and I don't see that as an option for me, but Chicago is ALWAYS an option!!!

If anyone has any way to motivate my flabby butt to work out, I'll take the hints. Exercise is not my friend, although I want it to be...sometimes :)

Gonna go read Donnie's tweets and hang out with the hubby...have a great night all!!

Ash make sure you really explore this site really well in the fitness part of it they actually make customized workout plans for you that you can do at home. It is really helpful if you can't get to the gym. Just go to the my trackers tab and go to myfitness.

hey all! My Name is Ashley, and I too am looking to lose weight and get healthier. Over the past year I have lost 50lbs and kept it off but now is the really hard part, getting back on track and working out. I don't have time to go to a gym but I have bought weight and a fitness ball and will start doing that straight away! i do need to get a jump rope, I am told it works better than running, but I think I look pretty special when jump roping so running shall be what I do I think lol.
I am Also going on the Cruse and Ms. Kaliyah is one of my Suite mates!!! I cant wait to get to know all of you ladies and share our fitness goals together!

First off Jessica congrats on your weight loss!!! That is a huge accomplishment and makes sure u keep up the good work! We are here to stay girl if its only 3 of us in this group (which we're already 11! lol) thats three of us thats in this together so this group isn't going anywhere! Hi :) My name is Jess and I'm from Long Island, NY. I went on the cruise last year and am looking forward to it even more this year because I'm hoping to be healthier and happier! I'm really glad that this group exists and I hope that it picks up so that we can all use each other as a source of motivation. I've lost a little under 30 pounds in the last month and a half, but I still have a very long journey ahead of be and it will certainly be lots easier to have this group as inspiration :)
