emoticon Welcome to the world of Raw Foodies where you will learn how to follow the healthiest principles in eating. Your food plan will consist of raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds. You will come to love eating this way because it can become an effortless way for your body to shed weight. When you eat Raw your body finally starts to get fed for the 1st time in its life. Your body goes through a natural detox and your intestinal walls become unclogged thus allowing your body to be able to absorb the proper nutrients. I personally am never hungry once I have been eating this way for give or take a week. My body takes the nutrients it needs and the rest gets eliminated out of the body. It does not stay and ferment in my stomach thus packing on the pounds. I can very honestly say this is the only “Diet” I have been on where I am not hungry all of the time. You will also come to learn and embrace that this is not a diet but a lifestyle change.

It is up to you as to how “Raw” you want to go. You may choose to go the juicing route, the green smoothie route, sprouting nuts, seeds, and grains, keeping it simple with raw fruits, veggies, nuts, and seeds in plenty of salads, any combination of any of the above. or you may want to really get into it and start making yummy recipes in a food dehydrator or making raw luscious soups in a really high powered blender like Vitamix or Blendtec. We have so many recipes within the Team’s site you can make anything from an appetizer, soup, main course, or dessert. Let me tell you the desserts are decadent so go take a peak at the recipes.

I am a empty-nester and grandmother who wants to restart her life, and who has tried to lose weight for decades, but who does not believe in looking back. (I've been on Spark before and got sidelined when I tried to start running & tearing a tendon in my foot.) So, I am back now with great conviction. I know what to eat, know how to slowly recover, and I exercise as best as I can. I only need help discovering the patience it takes to lose a great deal of weight. Are you here for the long haul? I am starting a career as an author and live a very busy life. However, I think some things are most important: friends, family and good health. I've come to believe that if we don't take time to enjoy these three daily, all other parts of our lives become unbalanced also. Wishing you all good health, certain weight loss, and the courage to hang in there for the long haul, especially on slow and difficult days and during the occasional setback that we may all endure. Remember, it's not the number on the scale or how you feel about it -- it's what you chose to do consistently that will make the difference.
