Hi, I am new to spark, and this discussion. I am joining so I have some accountability in my weightloss. I need to lose a total of 100 pounds. My goal is to lose 2lbs per week. I am not looking to quickly fix this problem and then regain it back. I am making a lifestyle change. This is nothing new to me, but I have let myself go over the past few years while having my babies, and I have decided that I need to make my life healthier for myself and my children. I don't have a lot of time at home to find a support system so I am hoping to find some people online to help hold me accountable to my goals. Good luck in meeting all of your weightloss goals!!

welcome I am at 319 last yr I started at 358 but recently joined spark and the accountabilty and prayers really help kelliemtaylor69@gmail.com lets do this together love Sissy I pray we can be at our healthy weight soon with lots of good choices let us make health a life style change for life

Hi there, Wow, you have been through so much, I have been through quite a bit myself this passed few year and like you through medication I have gained 4 stone, I have only just joined this site and I did it for the accountability, I would love to make new friends also, so if you could befriend me as I don't know how to do it , that would be great :)

Hello Everyone!

I am new to this team but not new to Spark People!

My main team is the Breast Cancer Survivor's Team. I was diagnosed in 2010 and so I am a 2 year survivor!

These past couple of years have been tough -- survived breast cancer but lost my mom to Leukemia last Memorial Day (a year ago) and then lost my little brother (just 42) to a heart attack this past January. Unbelievable. All of this while working full time and going to graduate school/completing an internship. Whew! I was not eating the best (I tend to be an emotional eater) and not working out nearly as much as I normally would.... all of which has lead to me gaining a ton of weight (Of course, the Tamoxifen I was taking to keep breast cancer from returning - did not help as it puts weight on most people).... So here I am with 80 pounds to lose.... the most I've ever weighed in my life. It is affecting my joints and especially my feet - with Plantar Fasciitis - after a couple of hours on my feet ... I have to sit down! --- This is NOT ME.... Oh... did I mention that I am a REGISTERED DIETITIAN?

Okay.... enough negative... enough WHINING .... I need to start STREAKING!

The good news? This past weekend I graduated with my masters in social work! Woooot!!! And ... as a college professor my summer schedule is MUCH MUCH lighter.... NOW... NOW... it is time for ME.

So... I weighed in today.... 231.... my goal is 150 and I want to lose 2 pounds per week. This means I will need to work out at least 6 days a week because dieting alone won't make that goal. Good think I LOVE working out and I belong to a FANtastic gym!

I will weigh in here for accountability and I will BLOG daily on my spark page... I'd love your support ~ Friend me and I will also help support you!
