Hello, I am 48, 5' 5" and a week ago I was 216.8lbs. I am now 211.2lbs. A good start to something I have not seriously tried to do before, lose weight. I have piled on the weight year after year from the age of about 23 and really did not care until recently when I suddenly realised 'I am not young anymore!' I am seeing so many people in their fifties - overweight, suffering with high blood pressure, high cholestoral, diabetes. This is a true wake up call for me, I am approaching 50 and I want none of that! I want to maintain my health level - at the moment nothing but a small fibroid. So here goes, with God and hopefully motivation from everyone here.

I am beginning to watch what I am consuming and try to up the excercise level gradually - the small weight loss this last week is a good sign as I did not do much, it's an incentive to try other changes.

You guide me with Your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny Psalm 73 v 24

BTW - can't get the ticker to adjust. That's pounds lost there not kg's
