I think self control is an issue for all of us. If walking is enjoyable to you, maybe take a walk with the kids after dinner? Even just a 15 minute walk a day would help burn some calories. If you have TV time, get up during commercials and march through them. There are small ways to get some calories burned and some muscles strengthened. It can be overwhelming if we try to make so many changes all at once. Implement one a week and you will surely see new habits forming that do fit into your hectic lifestyle. I sympathize with you. My husband works offshore and is on a ship in the Gulf of Mexico for 28 days at a time but then he's home for 14 days at a time. It's not easy to be so long apart but then it's like a vacation after every hitch (and he's earning three times what he earned before). So we are grateful!

They say that weight loss is 80% nutrition and 20% exercise, so even if you don't have time to work out very often you should be able to achieve your goals! You will have to make changes to your diet (considering following the Spark meal plans!) but...


Stats: Female, 5'4", 28 years old.

Goal: From 152 (07/24/2011) to 125 by December, 2011. DONE! December 4th weighed in at 124. In 2012 I've been maintaining around 122, which is a thirty pound loss. My BMI has gone from 26.1 to 20.9 since following the Spark plan!

I am a single mom of 3 during the week as my husband is a truck driver so i do it all and it is very hard for me personally. I really don't have time to exercise while one is in school and 2 at home during the day then rush rush it seems. I hate to exercise by myself and well exercise period. Walking seems like the only thing interesting. I just want to loose these extra pounds and feel better about myself. I love to eat and go by the real food way with no artificial anything and no processed foods at all. I do eat out on occasion so i know that's not good. What i really want is self control!!!!!

Holding on to God's word that says, "I can do all things through Christ Jesus who gives me strength". I am a daughter of the King. I don't want to get in shape solely for me. Our body is the Temple and i need to get it looking good for His home :))
