I'm on like day 2,082 (or something like that), well over 5 years. I do it to manage my type-2 diabetes. So I've been medication free for that same time. I was on pills for 12 years before that. So changing what I eat has liberated me from popping pills 3 or 4 times a day. It recently lowered my travel insurance too.

My major weight loss happened in the first 6 to 8 months of going low carb. So even if in week one or two nothing much happens weight wise, for goodness sakes stick with it, it is a healthy way to eat.

You can see from my ticker that I have lost a fair bit of weight on this journey too.

To loose weight, I suggest you get Keto adapted first (seriously cutting carbs), and after a few weeks of that cut the calories down, because at that point you can do that with far less hunger and cravings.

Welcome, for me the weight loss has been slow. The benefit to my diabetes has been the most significant. Keeping in mind one of my diabetes meds that the doctor just lowered may be what is slowing down the loss and with that said the doctor has given me permission to break those pills in half or stop over the next 6 months as I deem necessary. Which may speed up my own personal weight loss. Tho I am 61 yrs old and weight loss might be slow for me at this age.

Hi all! I'm new to the team but have used SP on and off for many years. I'm new to doing a ketogenic diet. I'm doing it for weight loss and to lower blood sugar. I'm interested in hearing about everyone's experiences! I'm in my second week of Keto diet but have not seen much weight loss so far.
