My name is Kayanna I'm 12 years old and my mom told me about this challenge. Why I wanted to do this challenge is because I wanted to lose weight what will help me lose weight is going to the rec center and dancing on the Wii.

Most of all of you know who I am. I have been doing the ICON challenges with Shonnie for over a year or so. My Spice name is SweetandSpicy!! I am excited for this challenge because my daughter Kayanna is able to do the teen part of it.

I am hoping to finally get my heart and head to line up with eating healthy. I am a stress and emotional eater. Right now I have an extreme amount of stress in my life and I am trying really hard to make the right choices on food. So, that I can teach my daughters to eat healhty. I wouldn't say I binge eat...I just tend to choose the wrong foods to eat.

I have tried pretty much every diet out there...Weight Watchers...to counting calories...to do putting drops of something into a drink and trying to curb my appetite. My other downfall is making time to exercise. I do a lot of walking but that just is not enough to lose weight or tone up.

My goal is to finally stick with something more than a day or two. I have even contemplated surgery to help me lose weight. BUT I would rather learn to eat the right foods and the right portions before I go to that extreme.

Good morning Ten A Day Crew! Are you ready to rock Shonnie's awesome challenge?!*

I am Kal aka FitNHealthyKal I am a recovering procrastinator who has made this journey which is really a journey of a lifetime and lifestyle too many times.

I have an unhealthy relationship with food. I have spent a lifetime being shown/told that food is my BFF - my everything really and while my head knows that isn't the case, the reality is that I still feel that way about it and it leads to emotional and binge like out of control eating. :::sigh:::

I have made Lifetime with Weight Watchers and succeeded as a Beachbody Coach and other plans, pills, patches and potions over the years but have managed to put back on (wait; I'll go weigh myself) 30# yet AGAIN trying to feed emotions, loneliness and a myriad of other emotions.

Because I spend a lot of time alone and work from home, I think that accountability is what I need the most.

I am once again an empty nester having raised four children who are now all on their own (for the most part). We are huge (and I do mean huge) dog rescuers and have three great danes and a labrador. We live in the Capital of Maryland and my husband is a professor in Washington D.C. also working toward his doctorate (May 2017). I am blessed beyond measure on so many levels.

I have said too many times "THIS is my year" -- well now IS the time. No excuses. I have six months remaining in 2016 and I WILL go into the next new year once again FitNHealthyKal!
