I just found a good snack: imitation crab & raw veggies. I was able to forgo wine the night I tried this. I had avocado in this, but I think it has too much carb & calories. I'm on low carb, but plan paleo when the book gets here.

My nickname is Patsy
I need to lose 8 pounds on this challenge. I amazingly lost 4 this 1st week. I know it is mostly water, but as long as my stomach deflates, I'll celebrate it. I also know I may plateau for 3 or more days. That plays havoc with my will power, but I'll stick to it.
I haven't been able to keep up with complicated rules, so I'll just hang out on the sidelines.

What do you like to do for fun? read, paint, jigsaw puzzles, garden, play piano, embroider.
What diet are you following? Low carb,
What is your favorite exercise? walk

2 random fun facts about you? Fun?? trouble with technology. I'm 83, and my brain is sluggish. Takes me about 4 times longer to accomplish anything.

What is your name or nick name? Terri My friends in Florida call me TER BEAR. My sparkname is MULTIMOM, because I have twin boys....25 years old.

What do you like to do for fun? I enjoy thrift store shopping....love the hunt. I also attend local meet up groups and love to play games.

What diet are you following? I stick to my calories by logging my food. I just recently was diagnosed with high blood pressure so I am limiting salt and also sugar products.

What is your favorite exercise? walking, hiking

1: I am a retired teacher after 32 years
2: I just remodeled a Fixer Upper Home for myself and loved the project.

Hi all,

My name is Sarah and I'm from the UK.

I like to read, go to the cinema, watch anime and do yoga and cardio kickboxing for fun.


My diet - I'm trying to eat a generally healthy, more whole foods type of diet. I prefer to have a clean eating diet and not at wheat.


My favourite exercise is strength training and love fitnessblender's workouts.

2 random facts about me - I've worked in Japan, Serbia and Spain before. I also love anime and adore Studio Ghibli movies :)

My dad passed away two weeks ago today and it's motivating me to be healthier and take care of myself more.

I was doing the winter challenge, but due to family emergencies, I had to stop. Completely missed spring (where did that go?)

2 random fun facts about you?
I watch Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune every week night and usually get the answer after two or three letters. I’m also the “calm during the storm” in my family. Nothing seems to rattle me. Drives everyone nuts.

Anything else you would like to share?

What do I do for fun? My fun is my sons, nephew and nieces and supporting them in whet ever they are doing.

This is my first 5% challenge.

I do not starve myself for foods I like just it portions of it. My weakness is Soda's.

I have 2 sons 24 and 21. In my nieces 22 and 14 and a nephew 11 who is my heart and reminds me of my sons.

It took me time to gain this weight and it will take time to get it off.

What do you like to do for fun? I like to spend my free time spending time with my friends and family especially outdoors!

What diet are you following? I was doing fasting two days a week, but now I am simply calorie restricting and it isn't working cuz I keep going over calorie budget by like 500 a day since I late night snack.

What is your favorite exercise? Boxing, jogging on beautiful days, and walking in nature.

Oddly enough my nickname is Rickydic. My niece couldn't say Vickie when she was small so Rickydic it became. All of my nieces followed suit! I'm 58; I was a licensed in home daycare provider for 8 years then decided to close down and become a caregiver. I love to read, fish and spend time with my grandkids. I have 5 expecting 6th in December. All girls. Lol I'm watching my calorie intake and keeping an eye on fat/carbs. Walking seems to be my favorite exercise or aerobics.i started at 264 and am at 237 now. Had a few pound set back.i am currently hooked on sugar free Popsicles! I've decided to start this weight loss journey because I need to be able to take care of my husband. He has IPF. A lung condition of which there is no cure or medicines. Only clinical studies. Looking forward to this challenge!

What do you like to do for fun? I love camping, fishing, anything outdoors. Hanging out with my family is a always a good time.

What diet are you following? Just trying to eat healthier, less white carbs, less sugar. I probably should give up my Monsters :(

What is your favorite exercise? I love walking, I find it relaxing and don't really think of it as exercise. Love hiking. Elyptical is my go to exercise when the weather is bad.

My nickname is LynnZ (said like Lindsey)

I don't know if it's much 'fun' but I write. I have a few books in the works and I'm close to putting something in front of a publisher.

I'm sticking with Spark's dietary recommendations. I have pre-diabetes so I've always avoided chocolate, cookies, soda, etc. I've never had a problem with that but calorie counting ... ugh! It's lovely that this site does it for me. I know exactly what I can eat and stay within the recommended caloric intake.

My favorite exercise? Seriously? ha ha My least objectionable exercise is one done in air conditioning on the recumbent bike while engrossed in something else entirely, like a book.

No, I've never been involved in a community project like this.

I made all the dream catchers for the spa at the Turning Stone Casino in Oneida, NY and I've lived out of the country for about ten years, returning in late 2015.

I'm toying with shaving my head. Hair is such a hassle.

What do you like to do for fun? I love to cook and and spend time with my family. I also have 2 dogs that I adore and I'm happily married to my best friend and we love watching American Ninja Warrior ( which my wife is training for currently)

What diet are you following? no diet in particular, i try to restrict sugar but other than that I just eat healthy

What is your favorite exercise? I'm currently really into interval training of high bursts of cardio mixed in with some strength training

2 random fun facts about you? I've played piano for 23 years (since the ago of 7) and I am obsessed with the show Chopped and anything on HGTV. (i'm a big diyer)

I am working on loosing weight so that my wife and I can start looking into the process of having a baby, she can not carry due to a kidney disease so that means I'm up, lol. I want to be at my healthiest before we decide to start the process in January 2019.

What do you like to do for fun? I'm into arts and crafts and painting. So, I like to be creative when having fun. I've recently refound my love of gardening, as well.

What diet are you following? I consider myself on a healthy living journey. I'm watching what I eat, exercising more, and focusing on improving my sleep and mental health.

What is your favorite exercise? I love working out on the elliptical, but I'm learning to love strength training, too. I especially like working on my arms and abs.

What do you like to do for fun? I have 3 ideas of fun....1 is to sit home and knit/read or catch up on shows, 2 is to go out dancing and having a few drinks with my guy and my friends, 3rd is spending time with my adult daughters, I love having them over for dinner and just hanging out together!!

What diet are you following? I'm not following a diet, I'm just trying to log my food and keep track of my exercise, I want to make this a permanent journey not something that will end

What is your favorite exercise? I've been dealing with pain in my back and my legs so right now I'm huge into walking. I would love to go back to spin class, it's always been my favorite

2 random fun facts about you? I can roll my tongue (totally useless but definitely a conversation piece) and I'm addicted to ice, I have to have ice in just about everything I drink (including my beer), the only thing I don't put ice in is my hot tea. Everything else gets a load of ice.

Anything else you would like to share? I'm very happy to start this challenge, I leave for vacation July 2nd so I'm hoping to hold myself accountable even while I'm away (good or bad). I just want to get comfortable again.

What diet are you following. I'm stopped "dieting." Just eating cleaner and being as active as possible.

What is your favorite exercise? Walking in a foreign city. Hiking in the mountains. Canoeing.

Did Spring and actually worked it and lost a bit of weight. Starting this one while on vacation.

What diet are you following? Portion control/1500 calories a day, I try to drink 8 cups of water per day.

If you did a previous 5 % challenge tell us about it. The 5% Spring Challenge was my 1st challenge. I was on the Clover team (go Clovers) I started at 203 & ended the challenge at 191.3. I lost 11.7 pounds/5.76% weight loss and was top % loser on our team. Not bragging, just letting you know how SP and the 5% weight loss challenge helped me to get back on track, make wiser choices and get active again. I'm also doing the in-between challenge to keep me on track.

2 random fun facts about you? 1. Love exploring the National Parks-especially those in the SW. 2. I go with 2 of my best friends every year to the beach, where our only motivation is to eat breakfast on the balcony, hit the beach and read, flip from front to back, continue reading & occasionally get in the ocean to cool off. Eat dinner out and come back to condo an watch chick flicks. We just got back from our trip and I did add walking on the beach this year.

Been married to my wonderful husband 43.5 years--We are both people persons and greeters at our church-My hubby is 6'4 and the little kids at church call him Mr. Tall Man-And he supports my weight loss journey fully.

Can't wait until the challenge starts!!

What do you like to do for fun? I LOVE going to the beach and walking in the park.

What diet are you following? nothing structured, I try to drink 8 cups of water per day, eat at least 10 fruits and vegetables and exercise 1 hour, keep calories around 1200.

What is your favorite exercise? Walking, I love jazzercise but currently have a foot and wrist injury and haven't gone for 2 years.
