Lucky, I have never heard of Vitas, so looked him up on youtube. WOW! I see what you mean! haha I would need a volume control at one of his operas, for sure! Thank you for mentioning him. That was something.

I am a music lover, anything can do at the right time.

But lately if I hear Vitas I really do want to stop the radio.
My one girl love singing Opera, and Vitas is a man who can sing very very high. Oh boy, if my girl and Vitas start singing I want to run away.

But on the other hand, since she start practicing his songs she went up higher with her own voice than before. So yea I will cope with Vitas emoticon

My husband just woke up. I was telling him about your Boston concert experience. He said back in the day they were wide open and non-stop. I never went to any of their concerts back then, but would loved to have seen just one.

That must have been a bummer, because you would think they would be high energy.

Interesting about the lead singer. We haven't kept up with them over the years, so need to read about them. Back in the day my husband could spot a Boston song blaring in a car two miles away. lol We listened to them and Dr. Hook over and over again. lol

You know, their concert? Not great. I was disappointed. I always imagined a powerful show or a spiritual experience almost, you know? Given their music? But man, it was so low energy. But I do love the new lead singer--his is a true Cinderella story. He used to do their songs on MySpace and when the lead singer died, he wrote a song, performed it on video and sent it to them. Then they hired him!

Boston, my husbands favorite group of all time! I love them, too. I think my favorite of theirs is "A Man I'll Never Be". Just love it! Back when music was great! I love guitar music, too. I especially love acoustic. Just a guitar, a good singer and a well written song and I'm in hog heaven.

Hehe. All the music sounding the same is what I think of Top 40 stuff today!! That's also why I started with new country--it's new but at least they use guitars. I realized while I was at a Boston concert last week that that is really what separates new pop from old pop. No one uses guitars anymore. Sad.

I love classic rock and old country, from before Patsy Cline, up to the days of Collin Raye and others. Just after his time is when I quit listening to country. All these new country artists today sound the same to me. Mostly I prefer oldies, Sam Cooke is a favorite especially, and also Southeastern beach music. I also love the Eagles and Doobie Brothers. I love it all except rap and new country, really. I think the diversity of music in the show One Tree Hill is why I love it so much. There's at least one or more songs that stand out in every episode, stuff I'd never have heard on the radio, such as these two: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DbenWtSGPU www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0eSpAgqrWo

I've heard Adele's music (somehow) before, but I couldn't name one of her songs because I don't listen to radio at all if I can help it. I wish I had Sirius XM, though. I'm sure I'd find something worth listening to.

Seriously? I have really gotten into country in the last couple years. I love classic rock, but, you know, that music is finite. Country today sounds a lot like the Eagles or the Doobie Brothers back then--lots of guitar, good lyrics. I have Sirius XM in my car, and there's a station called Y2Kountry, and I can honestly tell the difference between that stuff and the music from this decade.

My answer to this one is Adele's "Someone Like You," but really, anything by Adele. Her voice is like nails on a chalkboard for me--just terrible.

Anything that's called "country" music today makes my skin crawl. I listen to CD's 99.9% of the time. :-)

Which song makes you change the radio station every time you hear it?
