Welcome to our team!! I'm sure these good folks will encourage you and offer their experiences. I was a cash patient, but I figured I was worth the cost of a good used car. Yeah, surgery was a lot less 11 years ago.

People who talk about being bored - are boring.

emoticon welcome to the team

I'm sorry you're having a difficult time of getting a date set. I still have not had my surgury yet either, only because I'm allowing my other half to have it done first and he still hasn't seen the surgeon yet. So mine probably won't be until next year.

Hang in there, look at it as a exciting experience. You have more time to learn about the process and adjusting to your new lifestyle.

Welcome. Do not give up Surgery will come when it will come. Use the time wisely to education yourself and to start the process of changing your relationship with food and to begin the exercise program that is so important to being healthy when the surgery date arrives.

My surgery was postponed 3 times. Once due to insurance, once due to me "failing" my presurgery EKG. I also had setbacks that resulted in very expensive tests both before surgery and since surgery I have had a total of eight tests that were each over $4000 (my portion 10% of each test). So I know the frustration. Keep positive you really will make it to the surgery date and beyond!

Just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. I am in the process of getting the surgery setup. Was told I would have been able to have it done by the end of last year but the local group preforming the operation lost thier Center of Excellence so they are in the process of switching hospitals so looks like it wont be until this summer sometime. Trying to keep a possitive outlook on it all but it seems everytime I get a foot ahead I get knocked back three. Anyways Hello and look forward to talking with everyone.
