DONSUZBEE,
emoticon I CAN RELATE TO DEPRESSION AS A RESULT OF LEARNING ABOUT HEALTH ISSUES. I HAVE FOUND THIS SUCH A GREAT RESOURCE IN THAT AREA BECAUSE OF ALL OF THE GREAT TEAMS FOR SPECIFIC DISORDERS. I'M ON ONE FOR METABOLIC RESISTANCE/GLUCOSE INTOLERANCE, THYROID, AND I HAVE OTHER DISORDERS AS WELL. GO TO THE COMMUNITY PAGE AND SEARCH TEAMS. I WISH YOU WELL AND HOPE YOU WILL CONTINUE TO PERSERVERE WITH WHAT EVER YOUR TROUBLES ARE.

With me being bi-polar I've been where you are at. Between negative self talk with the weight and the medication also causing weight gain we tend to battle it a bit more than those who do not suffer from this illness. I have found really getting into a routine, even walking for 15 minutes, staying in touch with this community by supporting others, and getting those affirmations into has helped tremendously.

I am hear if you ever need a word, supportive ear, or encouragement. I am on the way to a healthier me, mind, body, and sould. I wish the same for you. We'll do this together.

depression and weight seem to go hand in hand in a never-ending cyles, one feeds the other (so to speak!) .. I'm in the same spot.. I think a lot of us are... I'm not, by nature, a very "social" person, but I think the support offered by others here...no "professionals, not the 120 lb waifs that pose as fitness instructors and health experts that can tell us how to do it right.. but other poeple who are fighting the same battles the same fears the same feelings.. is at least part of the answer to finally breaking free of the cycle... If i can ever lend a shoulder, an ear or a word of support, just drop me a note!
