I think you might be eating too little - you really should never go under 1200 calories a day. I have found that eating less I don't lose - eating 1300-1400 cals with some exercise (and eating every 3 hours to keep blood sugar stable) drops it right off. Make sure you eating balanced too - healthy fats can be left out by accident and they are needed to lose....just my tips (I have lost 102 lbs!)....good luck - it's always a challenge for the last few!

216 to 114- 5 lb maintenance range for life! 102 lbs GONE and a healthy lifestyle forever....leading by example! It can be done!

Great advise! You may want to change up your exercise routine and add strength training if you haven't done so already.

Also, if you can meet with a dietician or your physician. You may already have achieved a healthy weight for your frame!

Live each moment to its fullest!

ahhh the last 5, the "vanity pounds" are the TOUGHEST! you've come to the right place for support. :)

hmmm--maybe switch to those "baby cans" of coke if you MUST have it--but agree that if you're eating at 1100/day with a 200cal coke, coke is taking up a big percentage of room for something better like a good fat or a protein. wondering (like nancy is) if you might be able to eat more calories if they were cleaner? can you do mineral water or coffee at all instead of the coke? also, how do you feel about a little yoga or pilates for some resistance training? when i'm in yoga mode, it really helps me eat mindfully and kills the middle flab too :)

Do you mind if I ask your age and height? I am wondering about your calorie level.

Is the coke factored into those calories? If so, you are giving a large percentage of your daily calories to coke. And it would also explain why you are over in carbs.

When you are as small as you every little thing matters even more than it does on someone with a bigger frame. So yes, the coke could be thwarting your efforts. But it also could be, believe it or not, that you aren't eating enough.

Good morning MURPHYCP

I see your concern and I have few questions for you:

1) you said you eat greek yogurt, what else is in the greek yogurt or you eat it "plain". Probably the "extra" is one thing is not letting you lose that fat.

2) the 12oz. coke, can you exchange that for a diet one? less "sodium", less calories.

3) a what time is your last meal? how is your fiber, sodium intake?

sometimes we don't see that other things that are not letting us to go that extra mile to reach the final goal.

Hey there you! Well, I've been in the same boat as yourself, and now I'm back in it AGAIN! I don't drink coke, but I do drink coffee with cream in it. There are so many little things that helped me lose the last few pounds last time, but if you type in "last 10 pounds" in the search box on the SP site, up comes a list of stuff to help us.

One thing I read last time was that I needed to cut an ADDITIONAL 250 calories from my daily intake. Crap that was hard, but I did it. Also, I had a buddy then that e-mailed me every day and told me I could do it...and to keep my eye on the "prize" every minute of the day. Then I upped my exercise and lowerd my carbs (because I know I'm carb-sensitive). I also raised my water intake to 10 glasses a day and increased my fibre by a bit. I'm just telling you what I did. If something I say rings true for you then maybe it's something you'd like to try.

What do you think?

Sandi

I've been at the same weight ... 113, forever! I am short with a small frame, and would like to loose at least 5 lbs to get rid of my belly. My best weight ... the one at which my clothes fit nicely (without killing my midsection) was 106-107. I've become a big fan of Greek yogurt - for plenty of protein - and I get enough fiber. I never get enough fat ... and I'm always about 10% over on carbs. I eat a consistent 1100 calories / day. I need some encouragement! I was walking consistently, but nothing was happening, so I fell off tracking and walking consistently :( But I have renewed hope! I can't give up my one 12oz Coke a day ... I don't think that's thwarting my efforts ??
