nope, nope and NOPE! emoticon

reason being--if I bake them i am more likely to EAT them--end of story. i like to think of the holidays as a time to "treat" myself in small portions because i DO believe in moderation and that these types of food items WERE meant to be enjoyed. my boyfriend's family is multi-ethnic (mexican & german) and the german side bakes the hell outta the holidays. so i allow myself sliver servings of pretty much anything that catches my eye. i don't feel deprived and i haven't "blown it". its a win-win for me.

have a great turkey day!

I didn't bake but that didn't prevent my daughter from baking and someone from giving us a tin of homemade cookies. I ate some over the holidays but didn't overdo.

I will not be making goodies this season. My daughters probably will -- one has already made candy for friends. I don't want the stuff in my house and so I am not going to contribute to it by making it.
