Thanks for the advice. I did join the team about 2 weeks ago and I kept reading the posts, especially the ones about pains since I haven't exercised in over 4 years and don't want to overdue it.
I do have a day of rest between running, I decided to run on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Hope I can still make it from next week, when I am starting a bootcamp as well (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).

Welcome! I live in a hilly area and do not have a gym either...running in the snow stinks also! I guess that is what 'runners' do ??!!

Welcome! I think signing up for a race before completing the program is fine. I ran a 5k in week 6 of my training. Just know that you may need to walk part of it and that huge gains are made in the last three weeks of the training program. Oh, and take a day of rest between your running sessions as you get started. I really would hate to see you get sidelined by over use injuries and nagging pains like shin splints.

Hello all,
Another runner in the making here.
I did W1 D1 and D2 on Tuesday(I ran to my swimming lessons d1 and back d2).
The problem with Auckland is a lot of traffic light and very slow ones and how damn hilly this place is (just moved here recently).
Plus the rain which makes it hard to go running and I don't have a gym membership so no treadmill for me.
Trying to decide if I could be ready to run/walk my 5k at the end of March since I just started my C25k.

Oh, and did you know a minute is extremely long when you are running? :)

Happy running
