Hey Kristi, I bet you can do a full 5K again b4 September 1st! Lots of folks can't make a 1/2 mile right off. The key is doing it slow - which you did. I've read that, I've been told it & I'm convinced it's true.

I just joined the couch 5k. 15 years ago I was a runner but then was diagnose with bipolar and lost the interest in running. I am 85 lbs heavier now and decided it was finally time to do something about it. Went on my 1st run today. Only did .5 miles in 7 min. But my goal was to do 5 min and I did it. My goal is to run a 5k by Sept 1, 2010. Really miss those runner highs you get when you are racing. Best of luck to everyone on their journey.
