I'm still here.
I am 30 years old. My husband and I have been married 4 years. We have a 3 year old son and an 8 month old daughter. I also have a 6 year old step-daughter.
I am here to lose weight. I was always skinny growing up. I was very active as a child, and I was in Color Guard in High School so I burned a lot of calories and never had to worry about what I ate. When I got to college, that changed. I weighed 130 pounds. I was obsessed with Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds because I didn't want to gain the "College 10" I had always heard about. I ended up with a severe sprain to my ankle, which ended all of my exercise for 2 months. In that 2 months I gained about 20 pounds, lost the desire to exercise because free time was rare, and kept gaining weight. I was basically living on Fast Food between school and work, and I ended up getting to 190 pounds. I lost 15 pounds before we had my son, and afterwards I didn't try to lose the weight. Now, after baby #2 I was at 220 pounds.
I decided to change my lifestyle 3 weeks ago. I have currently lost 5 pounds. I am going to do everything I can to get this weight off. I'm tired of being unhappy with my body.
I am doing the Turbofire program and eating healthy now. I want to be a better mother to my children. How can I be a better mother if I am not healthy?
I am glad to see that there are a couple others still on this board. I've been off and on through the years, but this time is different. I am 100% invested. I'm working on a better me!

I'm still here! I've just never been really active with teams, but I want to be. I'm just a bit odd because I never know what to say. I guess that's part of what makes me such an introvert, but enough about that. Here is some about me:

Food Weakness: Chinese Food

Favorite Healthy Food: Turkey Chili

Favorite Exercise Equipment: My Semi-Recumbent Bike

Favorite Exercise Routine: Zumba

Reason for Being on SP: I've been overweight my whole life, bullied throughout it. Growing up, I never knew how to eat nutritiously, and much of the time my snacks or meals consisted of chips and Little Debbie snacks. Obviously horrible! At the age of 18, I was diagnosed with Poly-cystic Ovarian Syndrome, and it has inflicted an emotional struggle these last 11 years. I've been married for over six years now, and my husband and I are still childless. Even though we know that if I lose the weight and we still can't have kids, we know we'll be okay, but we still have the desire. I want to be healthy, and the be wife that he deserves. I CAN DO IT!

I'm still here, and apparently I'm the only team leader now. This is okay, but I wish this team was active! I don't think many of the people from this class are even active on this site anymore, so how can we possibly get things going here again?

I am now active in SparkPeople as a Challenge Leader in the 5 % challenges and I am still on my original goal. From 2007 until August 2009 I didn't do much with spark, but that has changed and I am ready to make the run for MY goal! Remember to Keep Sparking regardless of what the scale says. We CAN and WILL reach our destination.

i've been gone awhile no computer at home. lucky spark has an app for the iphone so have to keep on that and jump on to say hi when i can.
I'm over half way there i can almost see the end, but still so far away.
holidays are over birthday season is gone just have to beat the winter blues and i'm home free. right.
keep it up everyone we can do this.

I am reaquainting myself with Sparkpeople after about a 5 month hiatus. In the past I have always felt like the sole person in my family struggling with weight. This time, I am enlisting my family to help and to participate even if they don't feel they need to loose weight, we all need to be more active.

Reintroductions do seem appropriate with how inactive this group has been - I have so little time that I don't join many groups and just haven't kept up with this one.

My journey has seen many ups and downs. I was losing weight and then life really went crazy and one day I realized I weighed more than I ever had before. In the last 6 months I've dropped 20 pounds again and am still making slow progress with 15 pounds to go.

Here's to seeing if this team can take off again and encourage all of us to meet our goals no matter where we've been in our journey since we joined this team.

I'm back (again) I keep drifting away and wondering why I'm not losing any weight. So this time I'm going to make this site a priority - EVERYDAY!!!!!

Keep me accountable PLEASE - I want to see my kids grown up, get married and have kids of their own - it's the only way I'm gonna be able to laugh at them and tell them "I TOLD YOU SO!!!"

Hi, I just recently started back up with Sparkpeople. I'm now 20 pounds heavier than when I started in 2007. I'm trying very hard to incorporate regular exercise back into my life and track and be careful with what I eat for a period longer than a month.
Hope others have been more successful than I.
