Hello, everyone.

I was actually searching for teen SparkTeams that my daughter could join when I ran across this one.

My name is Iva and I have been married for almost 19 years. We have two children, my son is 18 (he's graduating this year) and my daughter is 14. She has Asperger's. I am also a special education teacher. The students I serve have significant and profound intellectual disabilities. My students are non-verbal and I do have one student who is on the spectrum.

I look forward to getting to know you all.

More specifically - are there any parents on the team who have daughters on the Spectrum? This is my daughter's first year in high school and while she's rocking it academically, socially it's been a challenge to her. My husband and I are having a tough time teaching her the grey areas of social rules. As you all well know, my kiddo things in black and white. It's either it's wrong or it's right. Those grey areas are upsetting to her.

Iva
