TY both, I read the article and sounds so much like what he is doing. He had the weekend off, and so tried to go out to burger king, and then last night tried to get me to eat pizza with him, after I already ate my calorie limit for the day. I am not giving up, and not going to stop reaching for my goals because he is insecure. Hopefully he gets over it soon though it is very stressful.

Hi Tina! You CAN do it, you just really have to want to do it! The best way to make your DH feel more secure is by always letting him know that he is the ONLY one for you and treat him that way. Nothing makes a man feel more secure than his other half making him feel the most important and ALWAYS complementing and encouraging him!

We are all in the same boat with dropping the pounds and becoming healthier and this is a great team to join. Good luck with your journey and have a fantastic weekend!!!

My name is Tina, I am new here, using December to prepare for my fitness changes in 2014. I am 37, 5ft 2, and weigh 160+ my goal is to lose 45 pounds, but focus first on the inches lost rather then the scale, as the scale killed my motivation last time I tried to get fit. I made it a goal to fit in 20 minutes of exercise everyday, just to get me started at a good habit. I am looking to help motivate others, and also get motivation as well. My other half is feeling that my reason for getting in shape is so I can find someone else. That has been why I have not tried for a long time. I do not know how to make him feel secure, we have been together 14 years, I have not let yet, and do not intend to, just because I get a fitter body. Anyways, enough about my problems, hope you all enjoy your journey to a healthier you, I look forward to reading, and chatting with you all. Thanks for reading, and good luck to you all.
