Hey! Spin class at the YMCA tonight was fun! My husband came to and we had Caribbean music! emoticon

Hey Go Blackhawks! Yorkville and Plano are west of Aurora on Route 34 and Due south from Elgin on route 47 in fact Yorkville is where 34 and 47 intersect and Plano is west of there. About an hour South of Elgin. I love the YMCA here it is busy place for fmilies and does not break the bank. The people are friendly and i feel welcomed there. emoticon

Hay, I see a fire truck in your picture are you a fire person women? My brother in in Law is a fire man in Chicago. Do you work at the burn camp up north in the sumner?

Give it time. You'll be surprised! When I first started speed walking and walk/run, I did it with a brace on at least one and sometimes BOTH knees. As time passed and I got stronger, I left the braces behind and haven't needed them at all since. It took about 4-5 weeks of faithful exercise every day, alternating strength and cardio, but since then I have run around a dozen 5k's, a half dozen ea 10k and half marathons and with continued strength trading, I can even do walking lunges and deep squats. Just take your time and be patient. emoticon

Not to sure where Yorkville is but I know Elgin. I live in Carpentersville down rt 31. Where is Plano? I understand Zunba is a blast very high cardio something I'm not ready for, don't think my knees could take itright now.

Hi! I'm in Yorkville and I commute to Elgin! I love the Fox Valley and I am a member of the Fox Valley YMCA in Plano. My favorite class is ZUMBA emoticon but Ialso like Body Pump which is weight lifting to music.

Thanks for the encouragement! I am looking forward to it. I love tracking my food. I really need to add the exercise. I am slowing working up to the 8 glasses of water. I'm sure I need more than 8, so 8 will be a great starting goal.
