Thank you so much Wulfie! Hoping for good results. I am trying to go Gluten-free as well, but it is very hard so my intake is limited and it isn't easy but been feeling better. Not losing weight but at least I feel better

Hi! emoticon I have taken Naturethroid when armour was on backorder .It is very similar to Armour-different fillers. I have been on Armour for years and with any natural thyroid, it is best to take it on an empty stomach with at least 8 oz of water and wait at least 1 hr or longer before eating. Since doing this, I have been able to decrease my dose by 30 mg. I used to take it with food until the thyroid community here on SP enlightened me! Much better response to the med on an empty stomach. Dairy is fine but recommend waiting 4 hrs after taking med-calcium interferes with absorption. Alot of thyroid people are off of all gluten-I'm not but my intake of gluten is very limited. Higher protein especially at breakfast is beneficial. Many folks who have not done well on Synthroid seem to do much better on a natural thyroid-I can't take synthetics at all. emoticon

Hello,
I was on Synthroid for 3.5 years and it never really helped me feel better. Finally I am seeing a Natropath who put me on Naturethroid. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with it, such as not eating for a certain amount of time after taking it, or avoiding foods like dairy which I had to avoid dairy for 4 hrs after I took Synthroid.
thanks!
Dawn
