Hi there. I don't know if I hit the Brick wall every day, but there are definitely times when I do. I'll have to have my Endochronoligist/Diabetes doc tell me what my numbers are next time I see her.

Today has not been good to me. I couldn't get to sleep until about 4 a.m. and my church meetings start at 9 a.m. Needless to say, I'm bushed and just finishing my breakfast at 4:30 p.m. Not good for diabetics. Even now I don't feel energized. My sugar is off the wall and all over the place.

Do any of you have this dual health problem?

I get you LINDSAYANNE0 ...I'm feeling stuffed and guilty today. Sick with a cold and only the bad things sound good and feel good going down against the throat. Can't blame the cold only myself. Late in the day but must get back on track!
ALSO, I felt much the same through my childrens years and realize now it was more what I thought of myself than what others thought of me. YOU (WE) are beautiful women and it's not all about what we look like but who we are inside.

The brick wall, iron was checked. Too low or high can cause fatigue. Glad to learn it is NOT the reason. Here lately I think my energy has been good until this cold hit me. Back to feeling like a slug and it's not pretty.
Putting myself in a more positive gear!

Hi all. Sorry I've been off the board for a bit.

I go back at the end of this month. I'll be curious to see if my labs have changed at all. I've had a few good days...but still have really LOW ones in between. LIke today...feel like a train had it's way with me while I was sleeping last night. I'll be taking part of the day off to go SLEEP. I don't seem to be losing as much hair latey but my cycles are REALLY messed up. Lately I'm havng them every couple weeks....and I'm on the pill. So weird.

Really frustrated with my weight. I can eat really healthy, or eat low calorie, do my pilates, etc...and....nothing. If I do see anything, the scale goes UP! ARGH!!! Hate it. I'm going to a school event for my daughter tonight and I hate that I'll be seeing people I haven't seen in awhile. The last time some of them saw me, I was a size 8. Here I am...in a 14 after gaining 25 lbs with this mess. I hate to have them see how much I've gained...

I got so frustrated yesterday I ate junk...and I'm sure that's part of the reason I feel so horrible today.

Hi,
I looked back at Lindsey's post and think she would go back in April.

My appt was last Friday. All the numbers are looking good, liver enzymes went down but not yet in normal range. I spoke of the crash, brick wall events that I had in Dec and early Feb. Doctor checked my iron levels, even too much iron can cause fatigue ( and the liver thing) but all checked out well. I also think while I don't have the same old energy before this began I'm doing pretty good. I don't think the fatigue or crashes are understandable to those who have not experienced them. Anyone who has thyroid issues that I speak with have the same problems, just not ever your old self.

Hello, Lindsay.

I was wondering whether you got your new results on your thyroid Rx. It just seems like some of these Forums dry up and blow away.

Well, Lindsay. I don't think I've been keeping track of what my thyroid reading are. But I'll tell you this, the mere suggestion of hitting the brick, has put me there. Excuse me while I go nap.

Thanks for all the information. Very helpful, Team.

Welcome! emoticon Brick wall-never heard it put like that but-yeah-that's it. All the symptoms-yeah-that's it. I am on an optimal dose of Armour now and I don't crash anymore but I do fatigue easily when I'm really busy or stressed. But I do recover better after less rest. I am also eating a higher protein diet, taking optimal vits and minerals and primrose and fish oils. This is a big part of feeling less fatigued since your system doesn't process what you eat as well as it should.

YES! OMG...You just want to sleep. Definitely a hypothyroidism commonality. I also get really cold and have to lay down. Luckily I work for myself so that isn't impossible, but it does happen midday. It is exactly that-- literal exhaustion that hits suddenly. I have a new medication dosage so hopefully that will change it...but no, you are not alone. =)

Welcome :) It shouldn't take too long to get your numbers in a good range, although mine took right at a year. The brick wall crashes are still a problem for me but usually follow a very busy active time. The recovery time is better...but unpredictable.

I take a b12 sublingual mid day...and a bit of caffine can help the ZZZZZZ time.

Hi...new here. I was diagnoised with Hypothyroidism in November and started on 25 mcg of Levo. Just went back in a couple weeks ago and my labs haven't budged and was upped to 50 mcg. I go back in another 8 weeks. I have all the lovely symptoms...weight, hair, fatigue, moods, irregular cycles, wacky this, wacky that...

Anyone else notice you seemingly hit a giant 'brick wall' in the middle of the day? I can be working away at work and then BOOM. Give me a flat surface and I could zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Concentration??? Huh??? Oh...I'm sorry...that never survives the brick wall. I often sit in my office struggling and trying to figure out if I should take the time off to go home and rest. Tired? No. Exhausted... eeehhh. Absolutely drained....YES! ARGH!

I surely hope that once you are at your right dose that the brick wall is a little smaller...
