Guess the best person to ask is your doctor WHY the changes and what are you to expect
I started on 25 grams and am up to 100 for a year now am hoping someday maybe just maybe will not have to take the meds but am not hopeful that will happen One day at a time

Hummm, I hadn't thought about exercise. Maybe my sister and I could start going for runs now that school is out for the summer. We'd have to go pretty early in the morning, though. It gets pretty hot here in Utah.

Thanks.

Sounds more like Menopause are you in your late 40's to mid 50's? Menopause can mimic some of the same symptoms as Hypothryoidisum... You might want to ask your Doctor. I'm going through some of the same symptom's of Menopause and I'm already Hypothyroid, currently my Thyroid meds have been optomized...but the reason I'm not as severe is because I'm very athletic so the activity has kept control over the Menopause for the most part it's not as severe.

Hi, April. Interesting idea and results. I had an xray for my chest, but the doc could see enough of my thyroid to determine I had a lot of little goiters on it. I was put on meds and then later was told it looked like it was okay, but to stay on the meds. My sister supposedly had the same type of 'pimples' on her thyroid. The doc stuck a needle into her thyroid to extract some of the nodules, but took no further steps. She has been having horrible hotflashes lately and is about to jump off a cliff into a pool of cold water.

When I go to bed, my feet and legs are cold. After a while my feet and legs warm up, I start kicking off bedding, and my chest starts sweating.

I don't know what all this has to do with anything, but thought I'd throw it out there.

Hugs,

My endocrinologist recently switched my medication. Having me swing back and forth from 150 mcg's to 175mcg's on a 45 day cycle. Now this is after saying I had no symptoms other than still feeling cold and being unable to loose weight. She said my numbers were within range of normal, but they were not aligned with each other. I've been on the 175 for about four weeks, and have recently been experiencing what I would describe as HOT flashes. No other changes other than I get really warm, to the point of sweating sometimes. I should also disclose I had a chocolate cyst removed in surgery about three weeks ago and was diagnosed with level 3 endometriosis. I started reading about endometriosis and found some connections with thyroid issues. Yeah! (that's a sarcastic yeah.) I went and purchased some progesterone cream to help with that.
So my question to those of you out there, Have you ever experienced these kind of reactions to a dosage change? Would you tell the doctor and lower your meds? Have you ever used progesterone cream and had it effect your thyroid in a negative way?
