I'm 26 and on it forever. Is it ideal? Absolutely not.

I'm thinking about getting pregnant soon (just got married) and the health implications are tremendous.

I'm glad I'm not the only one out there that is struggling along with this.

Thanks to both of you! And I agree 26 is way too young to be on it forever!

Good Luck! I hope that your tests all come back negative. I recently just went through testing and am happy to say that I don't have to take coumadin. So I know how you feel about the before part. I'm 26 and that is also way too young to start taking coumadin for life....in my opinion. But if it turns out you need to, there are ways of dealing with that too. There are several women on this team who have taken it for many years and can offer great advise.
Anyway, good luck. Let us know how it goes.

I go in a few hours to have blood tests done to see if I have the blood clotting disorder. If I do, I will have to be put back on the Coumadin for the rest of my life! I am 22 years old. Wish me luck everyone!!
